QUOTE(TheUndead @ Sep 5 2008, 04:46 PM) Alamak? Ye ke? So this means they repaired the lens themselves? Actually it's better to send it to Singapore & repair. Reason is because once the official seal is broken any other problem you cannot claim warranty anymore. Like now my case whereby after changing the lens, cannot play BD but can play games. If it's due to any other problem then I will have to pay for it even it's still under warranty.Added on September 5, 2008, 4:53 pm For better of for worst, guess you have to fork out Rm300 lah bro for lens repair |

At last problem solved. Just put your PS3 in vertical position. BD can read already. Funny though.... |

For my case, if I put my PS3 vertically, can play most of the bluray movie but horizontally all cannot play. However, PS3 games no problem at all. Strange but true....

QUOTE(chriscym @ Mar 19 2009, 12:38 AM) Isn't it vertical will put less stress on the lens? by horizontal the lens need to adjust vertically asgainst the gravity? My PS1, when put it in vertically it works better I cannot explain why but the fact is vertical I can play bluray but horizontal I can't. I open up my spoilt lens and see how the lense assembly work. The lens assembly actually are suspended by 2 magnets which can adjust the lens in 3 axis (x,y,z). |
