Mine is having problem started last nite. Scary, in which it suddenly turned off and red light blinking. I was not even playing any disc that time! Either

I was playing demos or watching videos from my external hd. Is mine dying? It can still play, but I am afraid the sudden switching off will

damage other parts, mainly the hd. I hope it wont.

Hmmm i just turned on mine, weird thing when i want to play U2 from my SG acc. profile, its says the content cannot be accessed using the acc. So,

basically, i want to try to play it using my US acc. but currently PSN is having maintenance now. So cannot really say whether it is symptoms of mine

dying or just a way of Sony saying you cannot play U2 beta using other acc. other than US. I am saying this because before this, i can access it. Maybe

im just being paranoid. Regarding the fan, i dont think it started to full speed spin.

Was playing my very first few minutes of U2 Beta when suddenly it happened again. Sudden shutdown and red light blinking. Even after I updated to

FW.3.01 still the very same thing happened. It happened everytime I am connecting to the server. Guess I will just have to wait for the full game.

Even that I am not confident. Backing up all my PS3 data now. Just in case

Dont think it is overheating though, I switched it on after a few hours rest, but the same thing happened. Well, almost two year it is serving me. Just

hope Slim wont have similar problems. Want to keep it at least three more years.

Cant remember exactly but somewhere around november 2007. This tragedy came at a very wrong time indeed. Guess i will have to wait in

order to play, U2, CoD:MW2, WE 2010, T6...all those great games coming out in the next few months.

MY unit is a must now. Dun want same thing repeating itself with new unit, be it fat or slim. YLOD? Dun think it is the air flow or something.

Bcos mine i put in a very open area, with air cond in my small room.

cant remember becos i was having fun playing WE demo. probably not because it is not that noisy compared to xbox.

same here bro. Mine happend around 2 weeks ago. Have to buy new unit just to play mw2, u2, we2010.

nah at the moment... i think i better buy new unit. repair cost will just about the same...not to mention the un predictability that when YLOD will strike

again, not a matter of IF.

dead because of YLOD. Now I am happy! LOL! No need for slim for now. Luckily I went to Sony shop this morning and they havent received the MY

stock yet, maybe next week will arrived. 1k save for another day. LOL! Now just to buy the games that I have been missing, but still scared to play U2.
