Junkie I am. sad.gif If others need to get their fix on booze, girls or WoW tongue.gif, my sole weakness is adrenaline.

Just arrived today at 0710. Not a soul in sight at the airport wearing masks, I guess the AH1N1 scare is wearing off.

Rawn boss, I departed NYC on the 31st arrived in Stockholm back on the 1st. Stayed in Stockholm until 2nd, and depart the same day and arrived today.

Just woke up in fact. Rollercoasting takes a toll on the body, but the natural high is indescribable. wub.gif

Everyone on this Kirim, stay tuned, I'll arrange your pickups privately via PM later. Or if you like, call me. We can arrange it that way.

@tishaban,
You've 2 options:
1) Don't watch it
2) Take leave, catch a flight and go off to NY biggrin.gif

And if U choose (2) please take me along; I can spare 25 days of leave biggrin.gif

Okay guys, here's the deal. I'm planning the pickups and refunds by today, and was already PMing half of you guys for the details on how and where to do so, when a call came in at 1600.

A call from office, and a few minutes later a call from MAS Medical Center. Yup, you guessed it. There was a detected AH1N1 case on MH091 coming back from Stockholm, which before that, the same flight number from New York..

So I leave it to you guys. I am off today and tomorrow, but I may or may not be a carrier. If I turn any of you guys into zombies or anything, it is not my fault if you guys decides to want to meet up for your pickups and/or refunds.

Personally I feel fine, but to be perfectly clear of any doubt, the onus is one me getting myself checked up at MAS Medical.

So the choice is yours. At the time being, nobody has called or place me on house quarantine or anything so a meetup for your pickup is still possible. But the risk is still there, since I'm part of MH091 persons-on-board makeup. I leave it to you.

If you are fine with meeting up with me under the current situation, I'm okay. A couple of guys from the Console section are also meeting me up to pass them their stuff.

wow tinkerbel is asking me out to New York in public. Dare I say no? tongue.gif

Anyway tink here's the deal. KLIA to London on Emirates from RM1300 return then London to New York for around US$3-400 return (many airlines). Alternatively KL-Singapore-NYC for around S$1000 return on Emirates. MH is too expensive for now... sorry string.

Not a problem, we knew about the price disparity. The staff were oblivious mostly because of the "Z" fare tickets and the 90% discounts on all flights we get, not to mention the free tickets every year to any MAS destination. For normal passengers, of course the need to look into the price difference is prudent.

@tishaban,
Do I hear a Yes?! biggrin.gif

I prefer the KL-London-NY route. If we're serious about the trip, let's plan something and I'll check if I can get keys to a friend's apartment in London biggrin.gif

@stringfellow,
I would ask U too but what am I going to do with 2 "techies" & roller coaster fanatics tongue.gif

LOL, it would be almost impossible to arrange a holiday in short notice for me, so if this is a trip between us three, then I need to get the date early.

I've never been to London. Nor do I have any inclination or interest to go there. No interesting roller coasters. tongue.gif

@stringfellow,
Er.. the initial plan's for Dec 2009. In fact, let's make it a round-the-USA trip. Obviously, I've a tight budget so we'll have to manage it well tongue.gif

London's got West-End ! If I'm going on those coaster rides, Ur going to have to do some stuff that I like too, right?! tongue.gif

@tishaban,
SoOo.. it's just U now tongue.gif Macam mana brown cow?! biggrin.gif

Stringfellow, I only chose London because it was cheap. Paris by comparison is around RM3400. I've not been to London much either, maybe 3 times only?

Tink, I would *love* to go but I can't. The new budget request will only get approval around October so any travel to EU/US before that is a big no no. I do suggest you go though, NYC is nice weather in June and you probably will get to see your man friend practicing parkour outdoors biggrin.gif

Back on topic, stringfellow nothing for me ya?

Nope, nothing on the Tiffen or the Grado sponge pads. This goes to Hanxz too. They have the full compliment of Grados at J&R, but to get pad replacements, have to go Brooklyn.

Was informed that it's official : Third AH1N1 case from the flight in is in the news. SMS from other crew on board. I don't watch local news so that SMS came useful. Still no news or phonecall asking for me to stay indoors, so Im typing this in KLCC. Met Rawn for his stuff from J&R and he's not a single bit fazed. tongue.gif

@tishaban,
I can't go in June either. With the baby, I don't think I should be travelling as much in the next few months tongue.gif I did say December and that's after October tongue.gif

So.. shall we just set a date and make plans and see if stringfellow can come along too? biggrin.gif It'll be fun. Anyhow, am going ahead to get my US visa tongue.gif

@stringfellow,
hMm.... so, do U have to be home-bound too?! Ah well... no calls then just pretend U don't know tongue.gif
