Sorry to barge in on more Lost OT-ness.

. BIG SPOILER ALERT to whoever that follows Lost but hasn't seen the latest eps yet....
My fav finale is still the season 3 flash forward finale. That was such a 'ZOMG' moment. I do hope Jacob has BIGGER plans for the remaining Losties, don't want them all to end up like Locke (RIP *sobs*). I hope Juliet survives, I like her character. What do you think happened in the end?
I've concluded that there are 4 possibilities:
a) the bomb worked. They're all back where it started, at LAX. Not knowing one another.
b) the magnetic field + nuclear bomb = Losties flashed to the present time, much like when the Island was flashing into & out of time in the the first few episodes of the season. This way they'll be reunited with Sun, Ben & Co. Bad news, Juliet might be dead as she carries her injury with her much like Locke with his bullet wound.
c) the bomb went off but it didn't work, it just countered the magnetic energy creating the supposed 'incident' and they're all still stuck in the 70s.
d) the bomb didn't went off, but jacob's death created some anomaly of events.
Oh yeah, I've given it some thought

. I'm not big on the Jacob/'Esau' war (I mean, isn't Ben vs Widmore kinda enough?) since they're both clearly supernatural beings & I was hoping that Lost will be more 'science-centric', at least in terms of answering most of the mysteries. I'm a little hesitant to embrace the 'mystical' aspect of the show, though I expected it, especially after I was thoroughly disappointed by BSG's series finale. Too many 'God Did It' answers, which felt more like a cop-out rather than thoughtful plotting. Hopefully Lost will be much better.
Sorry, long OT post.

Juliet, a.k.a Elizabeth Mitchell is confirmed by the Lindelcuse/Darlton that she wont be a series regular come Season 6. She is tied as a regular character on J.J's other project , "V", which is projected to replace
Lost after the final season next year. Usually, when that happens, just like Claire/Charlie/ or any other "ghostly apparitions" characters, that means they are dead. After all,
"Dead is Dead", just like what Ben Linus says.
As for my prediction, there is this interesting theory on the Lostpedia forum regarding what will happen on Season 6. I like this theory, so I'll echo what the original theorist says about it.

Screen fade to WHITE (instead of fade to BLACK, like all previous 5 seasons) with LOST letters flying into the screen in black. Lost, being so obsessed with the duality theme ( Jacob/Esau, Locke showing Walt the game of backgammon and the two opposing forces of black and white, etc) will come full circle.
Remember our dear friend, Desmond and his time-travelling consciousness in the episode "The Constant"? This time, the same thing happens, only to EVERYONE on the island. After the face to white fades out, scene shows all the Losties appearing back on Oceanic 815, before the plane explodes. Only this time, the Variables (as mentioned by Faraday, and opposing the Constant mentioned by Desmond, duality again!) are everyone on the island TOUCHED BY JACOB BEFORE THEY CRASHLANDED ON THE ISLAND, and since they are the variables, as mentioned by Faraday, they can alter the course of future history, which happens in Season 5 ( Ajira 316, crash on island, Losties trapped in the 70s, Esau manifesting as Locke, Ben killing Jacob, but not before Jacob having laid the groundwork for his chosen/touched Losties to course-correct the events happening in Season 5). The Oceanic 815 still breaks into two, still crash-lands on the island, but this time, with everyone's consciousness , with all their past experiences and knowledge (from all the prevous seasons) time-travelled with them in their Season 6 bodies aboard the Oceanic 815. After they recover from the crash, these re-emerged Losties, armed with prior knowledge that they have to change the course of history (otherwise Esau will succeed in killing Jacob) will continue Season 6 fighting off Esau and his minions, INCLUDING Smokey.
The entire backstory of Esau/ Jacob/Smokey/Tawaret(the Egytian statue at the beach) will be revealed in the same manner as previous seasons : flashbacks. It will be EPIC, make no mistake about it, as the writers fully reveals the supernatural nature of Jacob and Esau and their histories. Why I say "histories"? I believe things are happening cyclically on the Island, as what Jacob said on the Season 5 season finale episode, where Esau say "it always ends the same" but Jacob rebutted "It only ends once, anything that happens BEFORE THAT, is just progress". I believe the current form of Jacob and Esau is what had happened in the previous cycle, being the only two survivors of the previous cycle, and what is happening in Season 6 will "end that cycle". This will also explain the long-life of Richard Alpert/Ricardus which hints his Black Rock (the pirate ship which is stranded inland with the leaking dynamite) and medieval Spanish ancestry and past history.
In fact, I wont be surprised if the entire series ends with the replacement of the current form of Jacob/Esau REPEATING the same scene that happened in Season 5 season finale, with the latest form of Jacob/Esau replaced by the two survivors of the current cycle, which I would speculate, being Jack and Locke, Jack being Jacob, and Locke replacing Esau.
This may be a little too fantastical to believe, but everything on Lost has been fantastical BUT PLAUSIBLE. Each episode has tangible and meaningful ties to other episodes, even across seasons! Hell, Season 1 episode 1 has tangible ties to Season 5 season finale! Everything has been thought out, and the result will be the final season next January/February 2010.
