5uresh has to pay rm150 and u paid rm180.. it's like they just suka2 charge whatever they want..

The thing that gets me the most is the fact that the price is the same as a new Nikon Malaysia D5000 kit. An AP set should be at least a few hundred cheaper..same like handphones because no warranty/warranty by shop only.

How much was yours?

usually the body AF assist light lights up only when its dark

but SB600 AF assist light will not light up i dunno
cos my SB900 AF assist light always lights up
*
what he is asking is when the focus points are at different places ie the middle..the sides etc.. the built in af assist light and the sb600 af light will only turn on at certain points..

test it yourself and you would understand.

Darn... the defect with the D5000 happened to my camera... just as I was covering my event. Fully charged battery, worked normally before dinner, after that suddenly as if there's no power whatsoever... Thankfully our official photographer decided to come, then he jokingly teased my cam, "that's why, use Nikon~!" (he;s a professional using a Canon 1D Mk II) =.="
*
Hehe..i already mentioned this a couple of times...better send in your camera now rather then it dying when u need it most. tongue.gif

Just to note...the SB-900 has a different and much better AF illuminator than the SB-600 and responds to the focus point selected. The SB-600 will work on all points where the lens is set between 28-85mm.
*
i havent tried this but i think the Sb600 could work on focus points below 28mm when you open up the built in wide angle diffuser.

i just bought my d5000 for about 2 months.. plz add me to the list..
by now, there's no probs wit the cam.. but, does anybody now where can i find the battery pack for my cam.. ?
*
check your serial number..if your number is in the faulty batch.. GO AND GET IT FIXED now when u're still free rather than have it break down when u need it the most..

I gotta agree wif dat bro... worst-case scenario almost happened to me tongue.gif

btw, me facing dillema on next purchase... should I aim for a prime lens 1st, or a flash unit?
wonder if the SB-600 is sufficient blink.gif
*
of cos flash..

sb900 is DOUBLE the price of sb600...and do remember SB900 is biggg..might be unbalanced and/or could cause pain to your wrists if you're not used to it.

imo sb600 is more than powerful enough as i prefer using it in wedding jobs rather than sb900.

i prefer the versatility/weight and recycle time of sb600 than sb900. I tried both my friend's sb900 and sb600 before i decide on buying the sb600.

i have one sb600 but im thinking of getting another one to do CLS lighting.. 2 X SB600 = 1 SB900.. your choice..

i wouldnt go for a used sb800 because most if not all are out of warranty and flash wise i dont recommend getting 2nd hand.

lens wise, it's fine to get a 2nd hand lens..

the new one uses external wire to connect it to the side of the camera body so that it can af? got pics..?

if so..then basically it could also af with d60/d40 bodies right using the same method? (if the grip fits those models)

Will fit but the D40 doesn't have the sync terminal to plug the cable in.
*

guys...i'm planning on buying a speedlight,which one better?nissin Di622 or sb-600?
both are within my budget btw...... icon_question.gif
*
both are priced differently..

sb600 - rm780-800

nissin di622 - rm430-450

sb600 can do CLS - with a trigger on SB900 or D90 body. if you have the money, go for the sb600. period.

nope, the D5000 grip will not fit on D40/D40X/D60 cos there's a curve shape that fits D5000 nicely only

here's a pic of it
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

c the curve on the right side of the grip?
if bad luck, your cam will jz die on u
means u cant switch it on or operate in anyway, jz 'mati' like that
*
im not really concerned with the grip fitting on d40/d60..im just asking, IF lets say the grip fits d40/d60 will it autofocus?.. project-o said that there's no sync terminal on d40/d60 to plug the cable in, is that correct?
