i decided to get 18-200 1st then save to get 35
thx for all advise given!

nxt question is,
which model?
if can get Nikon 18-200VRii it would be best, but expensiv...
i dun wan Tamron cos slow AF...
is Sigma 18-200 OS HSM good?

n how do 3rd party brand prime lenses fare?

Added on July 3, 2009, 9:29 pm

the lambency diffuser is designed for use when there is no ceiling to bounce flash
n i tot using this diffuser normally point 90degree up?
*
Sigma 18-200mm OS HSM is quite good for the price i can say. Of course lower IQ compared to Nikon 18-200 or Tammy 18-270. But so far I'm satisfied with it

My recommendations :

1. Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 HSM
2. Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 HSM
3. Older model of Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 without motor - No new ones anymore (Will NOT af on d5000/d60/d40 bodies)

If you're interested in the older model of tamron 1750, you can still find people selling it 2nd hand. The major concern of buying this lens is that most of the made in china version and some of the made in japan version have back/front focus problems and you need to fully test it with a focus test chart and also on your own to make sure that you're getting a good copy of the lens.
*
what about the tokina 16-50 f/2.8?
that's also a good lens
