IMO, thats a good decision since i5 coming out this August (source from forum). From there, LGA775 could either drop rapidly or still stay in the game for 1-2..

Intel's turnover is around USD50++ billions (If not mistaken) so the 1.5b fine is nothing to them LOL

IMO Intel has CPU superiority with platform deficiency, and AMD has platform superiority with a serious CPU deficiency.

An intel dual core kicks any AMD Phenom 3core anytime of the day!! And intel Quads kicks AMD quads any time of the day too!! I used to be an AMD user too but since intel's core2duo makes its entrance, AMD has been struggling to catch up and now that i series proc is coming, i seriously doubt that AMD could ever follow intel.

We as users shud not be fanboys or bias. We ought to see which is the best option and do not simply pass judgment without research. So please no more stating intel proc not worth a penny, it is worth every cents.

Cast away brand loyalty and judging CPUs based on cold hard benchmarks first. then ask yourself if the computer you have right now does what you need it to, you really don't have to choose do ya!!

Back to topic..Has anyone here ever though of modding the side panel so that we could accommodate more cable thu the back panel as per STORM's series side panel. I wanted to that to my 690.

IMO cm690 is the best option + budget for mid tower size casing wit the least modding requirement (if needed).
