I need some guide on this questions

1)Does Xbox360 bought from UK works in Malaysia??
2)Is Uk also selling the Jasper set??
3)Which set should i buy?
Arcade-RM713.65, PRO-RM933.25, or Elite-RM1262.65

it works..
but u'll get a hard time looking for the game disc since it is region locked.
u may need to import the game from uk itself or look for region free games since games sold in malaysia is asian.

If you have a 1080p HDTV,go for PRO and buy HDMI cables.
If you don't have a 1080p HDTV,get Arcade and a HDD.

region lock =.= Normally those famous and hot game are free legion??
So u guy suggest i buy the xbox here or ask my friend from UK to help me get one?

STAY AWAY FROM EA GAMES,those games are notorious for region locks(ahemrockbandahem)

Many games right now are region free.
Off the top of my head,

Gears of War series
GTA 4
Halo 3
Guitar Hero series
Call of Duty series
that's all I can remember now =\

also Dynasty Warriors 6 and Armored Core 4 (For Aswer as well).......

what more suggestion do you want?
it's practically simple really.
we (singapore + malaysia + japan) shares the same regional code.
while UK shares the same ones as OZ and euro countries.

some games are region locked, meaning it can be played on the machine it was designated for. like PAL region locked games, will only work on PAL machines (UK machines). most of these games are from EA. which is the biggest game publisher in the world. like every 6 games out of 10 today is being published by them. so if you are ok with playing the other 4 games (which is most of the time crappy), then go ahead, buy a UK machine then.

keep in mind that for buying UK machines, in order to bring it back here, SOMETIMES the malaysian customs will tax you. the total amount is more than what you might have paid for getting the machine here.

if you are looking to save money by buying a UK machine, well think of it that way. some games MIGHT NOT work, and you might get taxed. so there.

Probably will get taxed...A friend from US sent a psp unit once last year. Got held by customs and it would have gotten taxed but luckily another friend helped me out

IMO you'd just better buy it here. And the price you state above is it include shipping as well? What's the reason to buy UK ones?

But honestly, if there's any chance you'd want to play Japanese release only game, Asia/Japan 360 is your only choice. Being a partial PAL gamer myself, it is quite frustrating owning PAL consoles at times because of the region locks

As an EU/PAL gamer it can be very frustrating getting games specific to your region.

While not specifically related to the 360, I've had pal versions of the saturn, dreamcast, xbox, and gamecube. I've purposely left them unmodded and once I came back from the UK, I've not updated my game library for them since it's very, very difficult to get them. On the other hand, you also have to consider whether there is a 2nd hand market for those consoles and games, whether it's acquiring more games or selling yours off since most of the installed user base here will not be using UK/EU consoles.

My WoW account is tied to EU, which is great because i prefer hanging out with europeans rather than americans, but you do miss out on the local community for online gaming.

OT: For Saturn, yes you are stuck. Even with PAR 4in1 you are still stuck with 50Hz. For DC, try to find DC-X, all imports will be playable at full speed, same goes to GC + Freeloader. For XBox, I'm actually glad to own a PAL one, since the games are so much more cheaper plus running at full speed by default.

more OT: Actually, i'm quite annoyed with my pal xbox, because my games are all pal, they won't run on my asian 360, so for retro gaming i actually have to plug in my old xbox.

Even more OT: We are on the same boat At least my XBox still get some use in this case

and one more thing... even if u mod ur UK xbox... games sold here still asian. and if it's region locked, u still unable to play with ur modded xbox.it's not like the ps2/xbox1 time where the modchip enables u to boot from all region.
