More pins that equals to higher FSB, cache etc. In English, Faster if compared apple to apple. As for your mobo can support C2D or not, that depends on your motherboard specification.

QUOTE(toottut89 @ Oct 28 2009, 02:09 AM) btw, i thought all lga775 can support c2d right? I think I've seen some 775 socket mobo that only supports P4 and Pentium D. -edited- sorry ah, gotta ask, i 2.1 speakers set up. and i have a monitor with 2 internal speakers, do you think i can make it a 5.1 somehow? i have a creative sb audiopci sound card. As for your speaker part, Your set up will be a 4.1, because it lacks a center speaker. Plug in the monitor speaker plug into lime green and the independent speaker into black. If your sub has an independent plug (highly unlikely), then plug it into orange. |

It still depends on personal preference.
For me, I still prefer nvidia for AGP cards but for PCI cards, my preference is shifting towards ATi since it brings more value. However, nvidia AGP cards is getting rare now so if you want something high end, you'll have to look at the red side and abandon the green. |

I think I'll consider a 5.1 sound system now. But I am not taking those Edifier/Logitech/Altec Lansing one. I'm taking a proper wireless 5.1 channel surround system from my company. Wait for my company's annual staff auction first.
Oh, BTW, why I cannot downclock my processor one? Wanna try downclock-ing. |

If combine 775 and 478/479 socket threads together, then there will be a long list of users in front. If this isn't a problem for raymond then i guess this idea is feasible.

When calculated, 808GB gives better size to price ratio and I saw DDR2 800MHz ram today. RM164 for a 2GB module. Dunno the PC400 got increase a not coz it is written still 109 for a 1GB one. |

QUOTE(dlwl @ Nov 12 2009, 11:31 AM) nope, there actually is a 808GB hdd produced by WD. 808.8GB to be exact. Caviar Green version only. Woot. Caviar Green. http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.as...613&language=en http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...4886&hl=808.8GB After much consideration, I've decide to buy it.... next month. Then maybe change my current IDE 80GB to another 500GB perhaps. I can hear click click sound already and BitComet is taking much longer time to close because it always shows "Disk Busy. Please Wait".
