Hello, can I know where is the best place to get HTC Touch HD? Lowyat? or where? Do they provide 0% installment plan? What is the market price now?
Why no people answer my question? ** HTC Touch HD LYN's Official Thread **, ** Ver. 2.0 **

QUOTE(benny888 @ Nov 13 2009, 11:35 AM) You want to buy new and get peace of mind - get it from proper shops like PDA expert ( this is the bigger chain ) , Digital Gadgets, PDA gear, FreshGear - all you can get in Low Yat. The price is not much different - if you are good haggler maybe you can get some extra freebies. If you have time to shop around, all these shops maybe you can get possibly RM50-Rm100 discount ( normally cash payment ) off the listed price . Retailing new price i still listed at RM2399. oh..ok..will take time to walk around |

QUOTE(evilpuppy @ Nov 14 2009, 11:41 AM) Cooked ROM - is a custom ROM which has been ripped and customize from Official ROM by XDA Dev. your explanation make me understand better..Official ROM - is Original ROM from Factory. Flash ROM - mean Reprogram your ROM (OS) just like formatting your PC to new OS. 2. Uprading your Radio ROM will imporve your phone reception and signal. some custom rom has already bond with latest radio rom. 3. HD ROM is WM6.1 , not upgradeable to WM6.5 officially. But there is many Custom WM6.5, just visit XDA Dev. Flash ROM will void the warranty? Radio ROM is 1 type of ROM or is 1 part of ROM? |

QUOTE(evilpuppy @ Nov 14 2009, 12:16 PM) flashing ROM will void your warranty BUT still you can revert back to original ROM. my advise after you have your HD just use it and explorer at least 1~ 2months just to ensure there is no hardware failure. Ok..get what you mean Radio is part of the ROM , without the Radio ROM your phone is useless. also each Model and Brand has their own ROM's and Radio ROM's you cant just Flash other ROM's into your HD. |

QUOTE(Superman7 @ Nov 19 2009, 09:10 PM) I'm using 6.5 with manila V2.1. How about Energy Photon Manila 2.1 build 21864 ? Did you try before? It's not as smooth as 6.1 but with manila V2.1 it's good enough for everyday use.. I've also tried 6.5 Leo with manila V2.5 and the outcome is quite slow.. So, I would recommend 6.5 with manila V2.1 Actually which ROM is most stable and fast for Winmo 6.5 ? |

QUOTE(DrWho @ Nov 24 2009, 10:20 AM) There are many type of third party ROM floating around. Some are for WM6.1 others WM6.5. This is a typical WM6.1 ROM from Dutty. I know, after I install third party ROM, will it void the warranty? Installation instructions are also provided. Google for other ROMs Is there anyway to restore back to original ROM? |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Nov 25 2009, 01:17 AM) Yes warranty is void with unofficial rom installed. Ok, I will spend time to study there..but just want to know the concept and basic first..Even if with upgraded official rom installed on a "broken" hardSPL unit, warranty is void. So if you intend to restore back to stock rom, make sure that you unlocked the hard SPL too. So to resrtore back to stock rom : 2 steps - installed original stock rom and restore back original SPL Infact all the details of the rom flashing process and issues you can get ALL your answers at forum.xda.developers.com website - is very detailed and clearly explained ; spendtime reading over there to understand What is hardSPL? |

QUOTE(DrWho @ Nov 25 2009, 09:27 AM) There is hardSPL and uSPL. Read it at HTC blackstone wiki. For your case use uSPL so that when you flash back to original ROM there will be no trace of flashing cooked ROM. QUOTE(nicotyne @ Nov 25 2009, 10:23 AM) Thanks for your reply..Will go and read it |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Dec 1 2009, 09:57 AM) My personal experience with the Omnia2 ) : PROS - excellent screen and beautiful interface . CONS - Very laggy ; the inbuilt interface is not smooth. I have used my htc HD since it was launched till Nov 09 ( sold off to buy HD2 ). Now that the official price for the htc HD has drop to RM2300+ it is a very good buy. Imagine I paid nearly RM3K for it then. So your overall experience is HD is better than Omnia2? I'm going to get HD this week.. The Omnia 2 I use few days only and find is not suitable - anyway is only my opinion. Comparatively it is a cheaper buy but feel less value for money |

QUOTE(DrWho @ Dec 6 2009, 09:49 AM) 1. You have to disable Threaded SMS. Use one of the Free Tweak program, like Advanced Configuration or HD Tweak, to do it. HD Tweak can do almost all the things..good application 2. Everything will be deleted. Use a Backup program to backup your data including programs before flashing. 3. Settings>Communications>Disable 3G Any other recommended software? To back up whole phone, can i use Spb Backup? This post has been edited by Lineage: Dec 6 2009, 10:17 AM |
