there is too many custom rom on xda. you may have to try and flash to see which suit you most and there is no such thing like who's rom is more stable or best. we all flash our HD more than 20times just to get suitable rom running on our HD.

1st thing to do is BACKUP! and if you are hunger for speed i suggest you stay away WM6.5 which might disappoint you.

there is few rom to be consider

1. Energy's ROM
2. Miri's ROM - 6.1 with Manila 2.5

do not go any further if you unsure what are you doing, i would suggest you 1st at least go through below guide.

try to understand what is HSPL and USPL.

yes, its the same. and upgrade radio rom's wont wipe out your data, But do backup instead.

Cooked ROM - is a custom ROM which has been ripped and customize from Official ROM by XDA Dev.
Official ROM - is Original ROM from Factory.

Flash ROM - mean Reprogram your ROM (OS) just like formatting your PC to new OS.

2. Uprading your Radio ROM will imporve your phone reception and signal. some custom rom has already bond with latest radio rom.

3. HD ROM is WM6.1 , not upgradeable to WM6.5 officially. But there is many Custom WM6.5, just visit XDA Dev.

flashing ROM will void your warranty BUT still you can revert back to original ROM. my advise after you have your HD just use it and explorer at least 1~ 2months just to ensure there is no hardware failure.

Radio is part of the ROM , without the Radio ROM your phone is useless.

also each Model and Brand has their own ROM's and Radio ROM's you cant just Flash other ROM's into your HD.

there is always a new comer with new ROM.

there is no official WM6.5 for HTC HD that's why upgrade is not available. those WM6.5 you saw is custom ROM, and WM6.5 is slow if you are hunger for speed better stay away from 6.5. go for 6.1 instead.

from here you can create new folder reasign all your apps into your fav folder.

you mean HTC HeRo Android?? was using it previously it is a great devices, all those Sense UI widget really work far better than WinMo Manila.
had to jump back to WinMo due to some apps and already get used to BIG Screen.

good game. any idea how to close the game , i know you may tab on the game menu to exit but during game when incoming call the caller ID appear but i cannot answer my call and the game kept hanging over there unable to exit through the menu.

you may let the device auto configure it self once you slot in your simcard. or using the
setting>connection>setup connection tool to set up your data services.

as for maxis web setting is for those who doesn't really into setting stuff and they prefer to done by maxis. but sometime manual setting is useful too IF auto configure fail.
