If the client is too old, better re-download (around 3.5GB maybe not including latest patch).

Too bad the level up event end tomorrow, otherwise can rush to get some free merc (witch @ 60, jani @ 80, elem @ 100, rin/valk/warlord @ 120).
Hopefully we got some good event later this weekend... (maintenance on Thursday).

Once you get to around 100, the formation possibility will open up a lot more as you unlock majority of the class C/B/A mercs.
As of lower level, just need to do some future planning. Knowing every merc skill, what can they do is quite important.

Your decision of going for PvE or PvP will also affect what mercs you'll need. Some are more PvP oriented, some only useful in PvE, some are useful on both situation, some are totally useless.

As of generating gold @ TBS, yourself and shaman pretty much enough do most of the job till Lv.125. Just one more addition is Witch.
Of course no one say that is mandatory, this form just makes thing easy.
But since yourself is a BattleStaff already- you're destined to eat those TBS like cake. (max ElectronField, other skills not important)

Well if you're on absolute new account, check the menu Item Mall > Item Pickup.
if you don't see a blue box there, try click on the first slot, should have something there.

IM is always a bad idea and I don't count on it (with my eternal bad luck).

I don't dare to give it a try; best save money for real world purpose. I'm more than capable to make 10b/week easily in game so spending $$ on IM doesn't really makes much sense now.

Well, atlas is guaranteed anyway, if you have leftover NX in there.
$10 = 4b. Not bad nowadays but I can get a better rate of $10= 6.5b "elsewhere".

Recent game event was good, made a lot of gold. Average I stock up 6b to 7b PER DAY in last month...
If you up to play the game for real, doesn't always need $$ to survive.

Transfer? Can always start a new, leveling is easy, market is cross-server so you can migrate your $$ anywhere you like.

If you up for easy $$ making, BattleStaff is the way to go. Freaking OP DoT & cost next to nothing.
