Hi...

For guys who subscribed for the BlackBerry Service in Malaysia perhaps can share the experience using the BIS of both provider

How is Maxis Quality? as i know its more expensive compare to Celcom

And how About the cheaper Celcom BIS, any problem?

I come across Celcom website and interested with their Celcom Exec 50 Post paid plan. I wonder what they mean with Bundled Value? do we have to pay additional RM 50 for the voice usage no matter we use it or not, or the monthly commitment fee converted as a voice usage value

Any review and feedback will be greatly appreciated rclxms.gif

Thank You..

Dear User i guess the package u wanna subcribe is CE50 + BIS where the monthly commitment fees is RM148. CE50 + BIS (RM98). i'm using Blackberry storm for this package... no problem so far... browse internet kinda fast. e-mail receive instantly. this is Because Celcom is using the RIM service (Research In Motion).

Currently if u subcribe CE50 + BIS with Celom, you can entitle the price for BlackBerry Storm is RM1,699.... Regular Retail Price is RM 2,488. kinda cheap.

If u are not using 3G, then expect dial-up quality.

If its 3G then its fast

Actually not you need to go but you need to subscribe and sign contract agreement.

1. You need to be a postpaid customer
2. Pay the one time installation fee
3. Choose the package suits you
4. Activate it
5. Enjoy the service smile.gif

applicable to carrier providing BlackBerry service in MY (Maxis or Celcom)

or else you can choose to buy the BlackBerry device somewhere else the sign up with the BlackBerry Service, that will be no contract required.
but u still need to be a postpaid customer.

in Indonesia prepaid customer can subscribe to BlackBerry Internet Service, but Malaysia havent start the service for prepaid yet. I already suggest it to Maxis

Just SMS which plan i prefer (daily charge basis, or monthly based)
go to the telco website and create an account.
then the service will be activated, and if not just call the the telco company and talk to BlackBerry support for more assistance to get it activated
reset device and good to go

1) Most of the time they put me on hold shakehead.gif
2) Terminate the conversation session without any reason vmad.gif

Damn la u celcom..the staff even do not know what the RRP price for the bold ("Maaf cik, kami tidak pasti la harga untuk blackberry tersebut") WTF!!

After several session..this is the worst scenario happen to me..20 minutes full of shit..

I assume you sign up the contract from your country then u roaming in malaysia..
Go to - Manage connections--mobile network option- data services- Select "Off When Roaming"

This is what normally i do when i travel to overseas. you'll will see the "triangle sign" beside the roaming network logo..then switch on your wifi....and that's all. smile.gif

correct me if i am wrong, if going for maxis unlimited, i will be paying say RM120(BIS) +VP50 = RM170 which i will get RM50 for calls & sms but if i were to go for celcom biz plan P188, my commitment will be RM188 but i will be getting calls & sms usage of up to RM148 & unlimited internet 3GX & BES. further more i will be paying RM2199 for BB storm undrer maxis & only RM1488 for celcom, In this sense wouldn't the Celcom's plan is much much more a better choice?

bro, maxis standard BIS give 10 mb data usage.
what is mean by data usage? is it only used when we browse with opera or streaming video?

how about facebook and wlm, when we use that is it counted as data usage?

because 10 mb is very small if facebook and wlm is counted as that 10mb, can only browse facebook for about 10 times, lol

bb messenger, facebook, and wlm is included in that 10 mb or not?

i too am planning to sign up; mathematically, celcom's plan package looks cheaper.
for the celcom's rm148 package, would the discounts on exec50 plan still applies in monthly bills?
i think maxis requires no contract (celcom's 12month) and the rm2199 comes with extra accessories. but i'd like to hear others take on this too as i could be wrong, and unknowingly, hidden charges start to appear in future bills.. so, before i sign up, can anyone comment?

Another configuration to consider:

1.Buy the Storm from elsewhere at around 1.8k-2.3k

2.Sign up Celcom P148 plan : You can make RM148 worth of calls, sms, mms and also unlimited 3G.

3.Pay for BIS license at RM30 per month so you will have full functionality of the Blackberry.

4. So total damage per month is around RM180.

For me, my average phone usage is around RM150/ month so this plan suited me perfectly. Furtermore I only use the BB as my tethered modem to surf. In my area (damansara), I download file via Rapidshare and I can easily get more than 200KBps (not Kb).

As for the Maxis plan, the BB data plan and phone plans are separated. Hence Minimum to pay is RM250/ month to have the above configuration. In my opinion, if it's the iPhone, go for the Maxis iValue plans but for Blackberry, the obvious choice is Celcom plans.

PS: I personally like both the blackberries and iPhone a lot

I just received my maxis bill;
I am only charged 88 for my BIS unlimited; only started it last month.

so my bill is basically

80 voice + 88 BIS + 5 (itemized Bill) + 5% Service Tax.

so its 173 + 8.65 = 181.57

No Idea how i got 88; but I am not complaining...
basically was on standard package on day 1. but upgraded on day 2 to unlimited; coz I was downloading too much....
Any other maxis user getting 88?

Using it as a tether modem check out my sign...for my speed...down side couldnt torrent. but rapidshare is pretty fast.

Yeap you can download via rapidshare. I use rapidshare premium.

At night i would plug in my BB as a modem and download a few files simultaneously, turn on bluetooth to connect to my stereo bluetooth headset, and make calls while surfing.

So in a nutshell I am:
1) downloading movies
2) using bluetooth
3) making calls
4) surfing

All at the same time with my Storm plugged in my laptop. Plan is Celcom P148plan with RM30 additional BIS plan. (Total RM180/month)

Hope these info helps.

Yoongdynasty,

That's so awesome. I'm also using RS Premium and the reason why I still stuck with streamyx is because of RS. If that's the case, I could just get a Blackberry Celcom RM180 per month (including RM145 for making calls? are u serious?) and unlimited 3G and later terminate my streamyx. Put the monthly streamyx bill budget into my celcom. All in one. No need to get a celcom broadband. Not bad...not bad drool.gif

p/s: I know u can use Storm as modem but can Bold be modem as well? Or is it only Storm can do that?

P148 plan just need to pay additional RM30 to get unlimited BIS?

Ya wei..i took me many trips to the celcom branch in Menara PKNS to confirmed it. Initially i thought P148 is only for company registration hence I registered it under my company. But later on the manager confirmed that individuals could also apply for it. Hence I changed it back to my personal name account so that I could activate the supplementary line for additional RM5/month. For business registration, you would need to pay for the Office Pax fees in order to have free calls among your supp.

Check out the following P148 plan link. You just need to pay additional RM30 to get BIS.

http://www.celcom.com.my/cep/xresources/CelcomCORP/business/bv-power148-rates.html ://http://www.celcom.com.my/cep/xresou...148-rates.html ://http://www.celcom.com.my/cep/xresou...148-rates.html

Sherina,

Yes I save on my streamyX bills too. However the speed of the celcom 3G also depends on location. Perhaps you could check your location coverage before commiting. I am happy with the rate of downloading 1 full movie/night when i sleep.

Yes the Bold can be used as a tethered modem.

thanks for the info, yoong. I checked the celcom website that u gave. What's the different between BES and BIS?
*
BES: Blackberry Enterprise Server is a software plugin for email servers that syncs email, calender and address book information between the server and other Blackberry devices that are authorized to access it. Used for enterprises/companies that shares information within their blackberries.

BIS: Blackberry Internet Server is provided by our telco whereby it allows our Blackberry devices to access internet, facebook, msn, POP3/IMAP email accounts.

Both BES and BIS are servers that stores the emails which will be pushed to our Blackberry devices in realtime as we receive it. Also, we will receive facebook notifications as soon as we receive them (pushed to our blackberries). This is different from other PDAs because they periodically connect to the internet server to see whether we have mails. This will use up battery power because it is Pulling information periodically rather than having information Pushed to them automatically.

Also with BES and BIS, our email settings and network configurations are stored centrally in the server; hence if you lose your blackberry, you can just resend the Service Books via your blackberry online account to your new Blackberry. You just need to update the PIN number with your new Blackberry's pin in your existing account.

We as end user consumers only need the BIS.

Hope these helps.

I'm using celcom line... CE50, BIS, then 3G advance unlimited RM98. so RM178 per/month. no complaints here, coz i should have bought my Storm with contract but the seller didnt put me on a contract, so i bought my storm at rm1699 without contract. hahahha.... cool2.gif

I have question regarding the Blackberry Internet Service. I would like to know its download/upload data speed. I also read in the first page regarding faster speeds through 3g, does the BIS connect over 3G or is it a different connection type?

The reason i ask is because i've just got myself an 8900 Curve but regretted to find out that some apps only work with the data plan. But if the data plan download speeds are slow, i wont be considering it anyways.

Hi there,

8900 not support 3G,
BIS connect over 3G, GPRS, EDGE
speed many people said maxis is good.. 1mbps and even use the BOLD to act as modem and download rapidshare, browse, etc (cannot p2p)
most of the apps only work with BIS plan, and i believe the speed is not that slow smile.gif

hi, i am not a pro but this might help:

link 1) http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/mobile/br...earch/index.asp
2) http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/mobile/pl...ue_plan_150.asp
3) http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/blackberry/packages.asp
4) http://www.hotlink.com.my/web/portal/hotli...t_Hotlink_SA_en

if u already own BB device and want to stay on maxis line, u can choose:-
A. for voice, any voice plan that suits u (as in link 2 ie. read under mobile & plans/mobile services/rate plan & charges).
B. for data access, either subscribe to BIS (as in link 3 - the unlimited package include BIS service n all internet/WAP services as stated in second * there) if u need access to BB service (RIM server)
or subscribe to maxis 3g (as in link 1 - on this u only have internet access; u don't have access to BB service/RIM server).

there's no charge for conversion currently ($25 charge is waived until further notice) and yes, you can keep your number (see link 4 or call 1-800-82-8998).

or, if they confuse u too much, just port to celcom! (see earlier calculation on BB package for celcom - mathematically, cheaper and u can keep your number too). i personally think maxis CS is not as good as it used to be.. (unless u r on corporate plan)

disclaimer: i am still on maxis and damn confused; no time to switch yet. possibly soonest if they keep this on!!.

Yes. Saw Digi ad in the newspaper yesterday.

Unlimited BB data access is only RM63 per month. + you can buy Javelin Curve 8900 for RM999 ... with condition attached, of course. smile.gif

But couldn't find any info on their website. Maybe not updated yet.

hi mensa,
is that the new celcom offer? Get a Bold for RM1399 is quite nice offer but RM63 for BIS? I thought it's RM30.

RM150 (voice) + RM63 (BIS) = RM213....kind of expensive, isn't it?

that package is using EDGE/GPRS i presumed, unless u're in penang? (maxis and celcom utilising 3G/HSPDA rate) - if digi's on 3G at least, it's good data price i think. their website has no info on the new BB service as of this pm.

Yeap..still no information on DiGI BB service so far..But when i call them this morning, they only mentioned to me that for the time being it will only be available for Business. So far still no info for BB service for personal users. Hopely DiGi can provide the service the soonest. And hopefully the BIS price would be cheaper than other provider.

Walk in to DIGI center just now...actually i intend to switch from celcom (due to bad CS service...couldn't accept more on their service) to Digi...one thing...i dunno whether is will disappointed you all on Digi BB service...

Bad one.. doh.gif
1. The Data on BB BIS service only on "EDGE" no 3G or HSDPA(use bb as modem to connect laptop online).
2.Only BIS available at the moment..not BES yet...

BIG BIG Advantage :-
1. RM250 Biz package(only for corporate user or company registration) will included all the BB services (unlimited Data )RM600 FOC Talk time(Talk until died tongue.gif ) thumbup.gif
2.Best customer service of course.. thumbup.gif

I went to Times Square this evening. Jalan-jalan. Saw the digi shop. Went there hoping to see the Blackberry. When I asked the counter, they give me funny looking face and said "There's no such thing as Blackberry in Digi"

ok fellas here's the details for Digi's offer: RM150 business plan user + RM63 for data unlimited (RM33 - 50% rebate of RM66 data unlimited + RM30 BIS License). Minimum amount for expenditure? RM 213.

Celcom's offer: RM148 (Celcom Power P148 - 3G unlimted )+ RM30 (BIS License) = RM178

Maxis's Offer: RM120 (BIS unlimited) +RM50 (minimum post paid subscription)= RM170

*Please remember that Digi is currently only offering the BIS in klang valley only.

P/S: Is there any possbile way to use blackberry connect services (e.g. PUSH email) without using BIS (say for example nokia E71)? Wish the telcos could offer prepaid packages with push email. That would save me from spending extra $$$ a month.

Not sure whether this question has been asked before but when the telco (Celcom or Maxis) stated in their brochure that :

UNLIMITED DATA ACCESS or DATA UNLIMITED or whatever unlimited

Are they still subject to the so-called "fair usage policy" whereby the download still subject to 3GB (maxis) or 5GB (celcom) limit?

Added on June 10, 2009, 5:32 pmI heard that Maxis allow you to subscribe two sim cards with the same number and you only need to pay additional RM15 for that additional sim card.

Is anyone know how the above work? I don't think you can use the two sim cards simultaneously! so what benefit can you get by having two sim cards with the same number?

Had u all ever try email from nokia ?? try it with your nokia device at email.nokia.com and follow the simple steps.

I try it before with my E90 but at that time i had my BB service on and its either u off ya bb and use the nokia email or the other way round.

Its cheaper solution and can act as a replacement to BIS service. All u need to do is just to sign up unlimited data plan and u are ready to go but this is only for BIS service but if for BES u can try mail for exchange inside your nokia phone.

The nokia email is better than BB connect as it can support HTML and can add attachment into your email. A great way to save your money and still have the kinda email service rclxms.gif

They have 2 type actually.

1. Multi line 1 sim = 2 numbers in 1 sim (people call any of the number it will go in to your same phone)

2. Multi sim 1 card = 1 number in 2 sim card. ( u can pick which sim to ring when people call and both can call out)

Hope that helps tongue.gif

Paikut, did u use the E90 with the blackberry connect service? If you did, can we just use unlimited data plan and utilize the push email service? So far the only push email service I noticed available are blackberry (BIS or BES) and with exchange service (Microsoft). Do let me know as that would help those of us who wish to save on the monthly cost and wait for the day when there will be an affordable push email service with prepaid biggrin.gif

Guys, I'm totally noob here but these stupid question is better to ask before getting the plans...

For Celcom BIS, there 1mb, 5mb and unlimited...

my scenario is.... every 1 minute i have 4 emails...and some of them includes attachment.

so let's say i'm paying RM148+RM38(BIS)+RMxxx(additional cost for BIS downloads)

correct me if i'm wrong as I see RM38 is only available for 1mb, definitely i will need unlimited usage since I'm on MC my emails are coming in..

data plan inc push services...if you exceeded the plan limit, service provider will charge you extra depending on your data usage..
celcom charge additional 10 cents every 10kb after 1mb usage

you cant have basic and advance package at the same time...

i'm trying to call celcom reps but no definate answer...
*
Are u planning to apply BIS? If yes, you cant have BIS 1MB and BIS unlimited at the same time...
all browsing, push services will be included in the package regardless BIS 1MB or BIS unlimited.

Just assumed if you exceeded the 1MB limit, additional you need to pay is RM0.10/10kb.

All your BB apps will use BIS, even if you are on WiFi. 3rd party apps that can set to use your Celcom 3G APN, then it would go through your unlimited 3G package.

The problem you have is that you are using a non-standard Blackberry package. I guess they did not think of existing users upgrading to BB plans and did not train their staff properly.

Just to share with u all.... Juast called both Celcom n Maxis for clarification on BIS plan n voice plan as well.

Celcom : Called to check on the Celcom Biz P148 + BIS 30
Results : U need to register as company for the 1st time n then convert to personal line. For the BIS license, there is a limit usage for it n its not unlimited. Only the 3G data package is unlimited.

Maxis : Called to check on BIS packages.
Results : RM120 for unlimited usage for BB services. U can still use the internet data services even if u not using a BB phone.

Conclusion : From my personal opinion. The packages/plan offered by our telco is basically not much different in term of cost n usage. The only question is the internet speed n coverage. So, choose well.

For Celcom:

P148 + RM30 for BIS...that's all you need to pay for UNLIMITED 3G on your Blackberry.

You may use FB, Messenger, watch YOUTUbe, use as Modem and download Movies.....it is still UNLIMITED. I have used it for 4 months. I have downloaded a few movies(a few Gig). My bills are the same every month. I heard about the fair usage for 3G, i think Unlimited is still capped at 5Gigabyte. It's hard to achieve 5Gig in a month!

Hi,

Just sign up fo upgrading my current corporate package power 18 + RM68 for unlimited broadband to the new corporate package power 18 + RM98 (for 384Kbps unlimilted broadband + BIS) and get the new Bold from Celcom at RM1,588 (not from Blue cube) but have to tie with 2 years contract. so RM18 + RM98 is the cheapest voice plan + BIS + unlimited BB

OMG ... getting a BB really confusing. What my intention is to get a unit of BB 8900 for the company. So I can use the phone for websurfing and check company OMA/OWA mail.

I wanna try the celcom BB.
I get a different answer from bluecube and careline.

BlueCube just mention the requirement is you only need apply exec 50 + 98 unlimited data plan and u pay some RM1.xk for the BB 8900. blink.gif
But at careline, They say need to apply P148+38 BB license+ RM2 sms pack= RM188, and purchase the BB at price offered by dealer? How much? answer:duno, depend dealer .... zzz rclxub.gif

At 1st, i thought just applying exec 50 + 98 data plan will allow me to enjoy the benefit of BB8900..
After reading post over here seem like there other hidden issue was not well explain by Celcom..
like the unlimited data plan... one is celcom data unlimited another is BBlicense data plan...
They didn't explain the use of BIS license ...which i have confuse with the celcom unlimited data plan vs BB BIS plan. I thought the plan was celcom data plan which use to surf 3G/Gprs. doh.gif
http://www.celcom.com.my/celcomexec/blackb...berry_plans.php

So i got some few Q and hope u guys can help me out.

-so if i wanna to use BB 8900 from celcom, I need to subcribe P148 plan ( which is exec 50 +98 unlimited data plan) + BIS license RM38( <5MB).

- When surfing using BB browser, there will be 2 charges? Celcom Data charge and BB license charge??
- Have any one try using BB to access OMA from exchange? This charge based on celcom 3G or BB? As Oma is running http.
- Do you think the BIS 38 is enough for me? I not using BB as modem, which use its browser to check mail and surf net.

THank you ...

Not sure about celcom, But I am on maxis BIS RM40 package. I brought my BB from AP seller. I ask my cousin to sub a line for me (RM10, since he use old RM138 package from maxis). So my total RM10+RM40+5% tax.

Surfing using BB Browser, I think is using BIS service. I did surf a few time using BB browser. Maxis didnt charge me any extra for data

I try to configure using OWA to get my company mail. But fail to get it work. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif I think is my company security issue.

For Maxis 5mb, is more than enough. I use for push 4 email accounts, UberTwitter everyday 8 hrs, MSN live 8 hrs everyday, light surfing on BB browser, BB messenger all day with my wife at oversea, FB occasionally. Still havent exceed the quota. tongue.gif

BlackBerry plans are quite expensive, coz it was actually cater to the 'business user' for those cheapskate don't bother la.

Maxis or Celcom, their plans are almost pretty much the same.

Celcom may look cheap but their 68+38 is capped to 384kpbs so if u use it as modem, not so fast la, even if u on HSDPA signal

Maxis is pretty straight forward rm120 for BB+unlimited and it is HSDPA speed

Hi,
Yes u can do that. Basically now u need to release ur BB Bold Pin with maxis. There are few ways.

1. If u have another BB, just log on to maxis blackberry website, register ur other BB or use the function Change Device. Enter the new BB pin and imei. You BB Bold Pin is now released and u can use with Celcom BIS.

2. If u dont have another BB, u call maxis CS at 123. Ask them to release ur PIN and cancel ur BIS Service. They may tell u that u can do it over the net, but let them know that u dont have any other BB to use the change device function. Tell them that u want to use ur BB with other operator or maybe u give ur BB to ur hubby. They will understand and do it for u. The BIS will be cancelled and Pin is released.

Hope this help. smile.gif Just my 2 cents.

someone told me that they cannot get maxis to release the BB pin.
should i tell them that i'm terminating the line and want them to release the BB pin for the migration to another provider?
[or am i too straight forward? smile.gif]

hi gal,
as i mentioned earlier, if u are opting for 2nd method which is cal 123, tell them to terminate ur BIS and release ur pin as you are going to sell ur bb or give to ur hubby or go for other operator, within few minutes, there u go.. its all done.

Trust me, can be done as i've been doing for so many times already.

But if u have another BB to be used with ur Maxis BIS, u can do it over the website. smile.gif

Good luck. Keep me updated.

I just have a few quick questions regarding Maxis Prepaid:

1. Prepaid can be used for Bold too, right?!

2. If I subscribe to RM28/month for Monthly Social BIS, can I still have access to internet surfing + checking emails when I'm in a wifi zone?

3. With RM28/month for Monthly Social BIS, do I have access to the built-in GPS?

3. Can Maxis plan be used for tethering too? So far I have just read about such usage from Celcom users.

THANK YOU!

1. Prepaid can be used for Bold too, right?!

THANK YOU!

-so if i wanna to use BB 8900 from celcom, I need to subcribe P148 plan ( which is exec 50 +98 unlimited data plan) + BIS license RM38( <5MB).
Not sure about celcom, But I am on maxis BIS RM40 package. I brought my BB from AP seller. I ask my cousin to sub a line for me (RM10, since he use old RM138 package from maxis). So my total RM10+RM40+5% tax.

- When  surfing using BB browser, there will be 2 charges?  Celcom Data charge and BB license charge??
Surfing using BB Browser, I think is using BIS service. I did surf a few time using BB browser. Maxis didnt charge me any extra for data

- Have any one try using BB to access OMA from exchange? This charge based on celcom 3G or BB? As Oma is running http.
I try to configure using OWA to get my company mail. But fail to get it work. rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  I think is my company security issue.
- Do you think the BIS 38 is enough for me? I not using BB as modem, which use its browser to check mail and surf net.
For Maxis 5mb, is more than enough. I use for push 4 email accounts, UberTwitter everyday 8 hrs, MSN live 8 hrs everyday, light surfing on BB browser, BB messenger all day with my wife at oversea, FB occasionally. Still havent exceed the quota. tongue.gif

smile.gif nope... if you are a heavy user of IM/Facebook/Tweeter, better use Ulimited as the Entry RM40/month plan will not cover that for you...

I've been there done that... I was on Unlimited BIS and have tried the Entry BIS RM40, within 4 days of change, my bill burst up to RM40/day!!! I quickly called Maxis and change back to the Unlimited BIS and last few days when I got my montly bill, it was charge RM80++ for EDGE/GPRS usage. And after checked with Maxis, that was my exceed for my Entry RM40 plan - 17MB for only 4days! And that's it, I told my Hubby. No more trial and error. I stick to my RM120-Unlimited plan.. mahal pun mahal la.. But I'm satisfied, just curious since many claimed that they are heavy user but maxis never charge them more than RM40 and now I dunno that was true or just a gimmick. hmm.gif

Sorry my bad words.. I just feels cheat, that's all.

I am sorry to hear that..
My best guess for your situation is. Maxis screw up their setting on this BIS causing U to use EDGE/GPRS rate instead of BIS.

I might be wrong. But that is the truth that many are enjoying the RM40 maxis entry BIS.

let's say you have a blackberry bold, the celcom P148 plan + BIS RM30
if you use the BB browser, you're effectively using BIS and not unlimited data.
won't they charge you extra for the BIS usage? or does it fall under the unlimited 3g data in the P148 plan?

i'm so pissed off with celcom customer center.. just now i'm asking about the bb services if there is any new promotion regarding this services especially bold.

After 20 minutes..what  i got are:

1) Most of the time they put me on hold  shakehead.gif
2) Terminate the conversation session without any reason  vmad.gif

Damn la u celcom..the staff even do not know what the RRP price for the bold ("Maaf cik, kami tidak pasti la harga untuk blackberry tersebut") WTF!!

After several session..this is the worst scenario happen to me..20 minutes full of shit..

I rather pay a little bit more and thinking about maxis..in fact there is not much diff after all.

Damn u celcom..wasting my time.

not really..
its all depends on the coverage.. which celcom is way much better..
been there done that with maxis for 10 years..
changed to celcom coz the BIS is gone everytime it's a rainy day..
for celcom.. so far so good.. eventho its on GPRS and sometime EDGE (am using Javelin), but never on GSM at all...
I am one happy customer.. at least better than Maxis..

2-RM2.5 (advance)
they said both are unlimited but capped after 1GB usage..
idont understand where the h*ll is unlimited usage.... but still 1GB is big enough if for facebook, messenger & push email..

when your internet got time out, or slow....push email will delay as well, social networking....not really fast to connect to msn or yahoo either.

if i want to buy BB 9780... i will take the 118 package (monthly) & pay 1488 for the phone.

this 118 is Celcom exec 50 + bis 30 + data plan 38 right? from what i understand is the data plan speed is 384kbps for 1GB once reach the limit they`ll cap the speed to 128kbps right? anyway it is still unlimited?

now..come to the part where i get confused in this page (http://www.celcom.com.my/celcomexec/blackberry/bberry_plans.php), it stated that RM38 is Data usage up to 5 MB (additional data charged PPU at RM0.10/10kb

what does it means data usage 5MB? i can only surf, bbm, FB, YM for 5MB only then need to pay additional? what about the 1GB quota with 384kbps speed? which 1 is correct?

Pls..Pls...help

Hi guys, previously i've subscribed for BIS Standard from Maxis (RM55 for 10MB per month) but I always exceed the usage so I cancelled it. Soon, Maxis upgraded their BIS plan. I wonder if I take the BIS Entry, (250MB RM40 per month) just for facebook, whatsapp, BBM, receive mails. Is it sufficient? I don't wanna exceed the usage as Maxis charges are quite high.

u can only get this speed with a good 3g connection, if its drop to EDGE the speed will be slower..

but its still good for a 512kbps plan.. im using this plan also.. use is as a modem quite often. my lappy always show 112 kbps connection..

dunt know why.. icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif
