For me, environment for Inti SJ and Taylor's are pretty bad lo. Sunway still not bad, at least Sunway as a Bandar itself is quite green.

But Taylor's has a good reputation for A-Level, so does the others. The only thing is Taylor's charge more.

If you ask me where to do A-Level, I would say Inti Nilai (I know that their lecturers are good.).
And if you are bright student and wish to spend less, then go TARC.

If you ask me about opinions on Taylor's, I will say no need go there.
You can get similar things at cheaper price at elsewhere.
And, I dislike they fix up the classes and timetable which make it no difference from secondary school.
Although timetable like today 8-10am one class, then 4-5pm one class looks ugly, but that's what we call college. But Taylor's A-Level is not like that!

Time to bed. Will share more tomorrow.

I think the difference between London and Cambridge is not very significant. After all, they are treated equally by the UKs.

Regarding the re-sit, it can be good and it can be bad. Having resits doesn't mean the quality is mixed. After all, the students attain that mark with his/her hardwork isn't it?
And, if you did badly, this resit comes in handy.

For me, I wouldn't care too much about London or Cambridge lo..

I am a taylor's student and i am pretty disagree with u that the place is a cooling area. It's the hottest place i have ever been!
However,i'll agree with u that there are many restaurants around. We can get almost every kind of food(from Korean food to Indonesian food)

Perhaps he mean the air-con system.

If you want cool, then I would say Nottingham is really a cool place. It's a university in an estate, around them all palm trees and green thing.
But then, NO restaurant except the SA la..

arrr...

ermm.

err..

retake exam till he feel he got the best... sure the quality will mixed rite?? i mean from other unis ' eye

london edexcel seems like u can take as many time as u want. and the marks, "not average it will take as final result , but the best marks"

errr hey, u know mroe about these tw kind of alvl difference??

maybe treated equally  by uk, but not all unis ??...
*
Well, you think like this hah.

Now the person's 1st attempt is 80, then 2nd attempt he got 100.
So, now you want to average it out say he got 90?

But hoh, he already proves himself to be able to get 100 liao wor, why you want to give him 90?

You retake the exam, means that you want to improve from last exam. To improve, you surely study again. That improves your knowledge, and your improvement and achievement is graded by the re-sit. Not a bad thing right?

Of course, you may want to say, now this person 1st attempt 90, second attempt 80. He deproves already!
But hey, he got 90 before right? Why want to lower his 90 to 85?
Does his 80 show that he already not 90? No right?
Make no sense right?

LOL, just my 2 cents. smile.gif

that means overall cambridge edexcel is more like STPM style? whereas londonedexcel produce more consistent students?
oh how about MCKL? wat do u guys tihnk?
*
Edexcel refers to London only, I think. It's the name of the Board managing A-Level.
Cambridge is like STPM style, but the exam is splitted into 2. So, it's not that stressed that you fight for one exam using 1.5 years of knowledge like what happen in STPM. It's divided into 1 year then another 0.5 year, less stress lo.

TARC la..
cheap and good. Where to find.
Being cheap doesn't mean low in quality!
And, you will be surprised there's a lot of bright students there.

Well, it really doesn't matter IMHO between London and Cambridge. At least, I think it shouldn't be a matter for you to decide where you should go. Be it HELP or Taylors or TARC, it's really wise if you don't choose one of them over another due to London/Cambridge. I will feel it's quite stupid as the two boards are very similar and probably not significant enough to make a change.

Regarding Taylor's score, I am not very sure because Taylor's seems to be selling off 'how many students got A, 2As, 3As, 4As and 5As' instead of 'how many percent of students got A, 2As, 3As, 4As and 5As' in which I think the latter is more useful in determining the quality of the students.
Let say the percentage for Inti is 30% for 2As (I think is higher actually, btw), so if you target on 2As, then you get into that environment, you just need to make sure you are in the top 30% will do. If a class is 40 in size, then you make sure you are in the top 12. At least you know where you are, how far from Inti's usual score.
Just an example.

I dislike advertisements going by numbers, except for those super high score, like World Top Scorers etc. Because, that kind of thing, you have 1 also very proud already.
