it'll be awesome if someone can investigate the COD4 scene there in details. If they're lacking good teams/players, then teams here would be going there to traumatize them o.o'

Unless, only ONE team goes there, fully sponsored and as a guest to guide them and set a good example to sort of motivate them instead of "crushing" them.

On the other hand, if they're really worthy and great opponents after investigating, going over there would create awareness that they might want to come over and compete for the major tourneys here in the future laugh.gif

But to see the prizes, it's really not worth it to go there. Sponsors also need to think twice to sponsor your flight ticket to go there.

I didn't really get involve with the CoD MW scene previously, so I hope I can make up for lost times this time around. This tournament being held in my own backyard is a big plus, and as I said - give me the chance to check out the local talent and the gauge skill level.

Thx zerashk,
Welcome to the community.
lets help making the community grow, so ppl could acknowledge us as 1 of major gaming scene in the world.

1 question. is there any other cheap way of transportation to go to the east side of malaysia?

How much does the total cost to go there for 2 days including transportation, place to stay and food?

If i can pursue Tbun boss, i would join the tourney.

Hi, welcome to the community smile.gif

Checking local talents? and gauge skill level? Are you trying to sponsor us? tongue.gif

Well TBH, our community is considered the best among other gaming community in Malaysia. We even keep connected with players and teams that are from International, such as Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, even India and Sri Langka. And we got online competition called Asian Call of Duty 4 Championship (ACC). So far it's running and almost done its season 1, gonna get into season 2 soon. The details of the tournament ain't in Lowyat.NET though, it's at www.pxgl.org. Check it out if you interested. biggrin.gif

Not to sponsor, but to see where's my level at ;p It's a nice change, IMO, to watch real people play live knowing for sure they use skill to achieve their goal. Hope they have those big screen ala WCG ;p You guys are the best in Malaysia? I came to the right place then ;p You guys do long distance apprenticeship? Anyway, thanks for the link, will check it out soon!

@ Axell

Anyway, instead of using the sampan as suggested by Axell, why don’t some of you guys glitch to KK and back, F.O.C right ?? ;p “noclip” bilang . . .

@ chocolate-fudge

Rough estimation and fragments of info . . . if you can get those cheap hotel at RM70+ per night which is nearby to and/or in Asia City, I'd say RM125 per day, that’s RM80 for hotel and RM15 per meal. That’s excluding the transport fare for the two trips from and back to airport, because KKIA a.k.a Terminal 1 easily 25 minutes from the Asia City and the Terminal 2 is like 10 minutes from Asia City, not sure what’s the taxi rate is like nowadays.

But I’d say RM200 per participant is a good round figure IMO, the excess RM75 can be consider as your per diems lor ;p Of course there’s the Promenade Hotel which is about 10 minutes walking distance away, not that I suggest you to walk but so you can visualise the distance, but there’s nothing wrong with walking as well ;p

Hmm, I just checked AirAsia ticket price for a flight to Sabah, its cost almost 400plus person for return, I think if AirAsia also costing so much I doubt MAS would be cheaper. =/

I just talked to my sponsor today and he said it's not worth to go for the competition if the prize can't even cover the spent. Well, actually we wanted to go, at least we tried to tighten up the community between east and west Malaysia. But .. too bad =(.

@ Sync : That's why I said ONE team lol. I don't expect sponsors to think, "If we send 5 teams there, it might be a good investment!"

And furthermore, I do understand most sponsors, sponsor for financial and marketing purpose, which is sad. But if they see the bigger picture, by giving great support to the overall community, that also equates more players coming into the scene. The team they endorse would have higher value then.

@ Yan : Probably you wanna try asking brian to persuade mr.pua for sponsorship?
