QUOTE(Mr.Pikachu @ May 2 2009, 04:30 PM) 5)They remain on the same sides before the overtime occurred and yes the same map.Okay......so it's a race to 4 since it's 2 halves of 3 rounds, right? But what happens if that overtime goes into ANOTHER overtime? We had that problem before,so do they switch sides again on the SAME map for the next overtime? Or is there no draws in the overtime? Yes it's race to 4. We will play through until we have a winner... Yes they switch to the sides they started with.

QUOTE(yanMc @ May 1 2009, 12:14 AM) I actually meant that if the prize gonna be increase to a certain amount, for example RM4000-RM5000(I mean if), I will guarantee you that you will definitely get a very very good respond from west Malaysia CoD4 teams. My own opinion though. Its a big catch and an eye opener if the cash prize is big and definitely anybody would want to try their hardest to win this competition. I hope i don't sound too greedy but its my opinion as one of the Cod4 community, and i assume that most cod4 players would be very keen if its worth fighting for the money. With the money up for grabs, even it might draw attention from the singaporeans if this is open for non-malaysians. Food for thought. Cheers. P.s: Thanks for reconsidering, very much appreciate. If I sounded offensive in my words, I would like to apologize first. None taken. I'm a gamer myself so I would understand. Anyways, I talked to them but sad to say it won't be increased due to the multiple competitions we are organizing which totals to quite a hefty sum. Probably in the future we might organize one with bigger prizes. Stay tuned till then and thanks for the support and responses This post has been edited by GeNgDeSkA: May 4 2009, 05:50 PM

Prove then Improve.
Prove you can handle a smaller community before improving into absorbing and accepting further improvements. Bringing a higher pot in would also mean bigger complications. Listening to people in forums only gives you a gist of things. They can talk a lot, but they might not even come. Remember that before committing in their favor.
Having announced and organized a tourney in sabah is already an achievement from my point of view. That means sabah is back in the picture of CoD4 competitive gaming (i've been watching for a while, lots of small tourneys) and the changes they made means they are ready to listen. The point is to guide them to the right direction, not direct them to what we want.
Do NOT take steps like how other companies and organizers see gaming. It is NOT a gamble and the more gamers think about money, the shorter the lifespan of the game.
Gamers WILL play for smaller sums, if they love the game. Those who ask for the raise in pots are only thinking about themselves. Better yet, they ask their sponsors to send them over, if they win, they keep the money, if they don't, its free. This sort of attitude is the attitude we should abolish. No PR = no sponsorship.
Tentatively i believe you will support this event IF YOU CAN, if you can't, there will be other opportunities and methods for you to support the sabahan's. Firstly, since they are already in our forums, at the very least they know whats going on over here and it gives us a free method of communicating with them.
They've taken our requests into consideration, but for those who made those requests, i suggest you think things over before requesting such things.

Can I know estimation of how many teams will be turning up for this tourney in EAST Malaysia, and how many teams the sponsor/organizer expecting?

QUOTE(Belphegor @ May 5 2009, 12:14 AM) Can I know estimation of how many teams will be turning up for this tourney in EAST Malaysia, and how many teams the sponsor/organizer expecting? Well, honestly I don't really think it will be a very big number judging from the previous tournaments held but hopefully more teams will be participating this time around because it's always great to see new teams appear and kick butt. Underdog action never gets old Hmmm, estimated numbers will probably be around 15-20 teams I suppose.

15-20 is actually quite good. Heh, considering its 200 people talking over here, but only a handful show up. I will see what i can do over here to help. This post has been edited by crashtec: May 5 2009, 02:13 PM

Well, top team has always been Tastas from VarsityNet. Other top teams are E | NsP and Varsity's other teams. But news has it some of those teams disbanded so I'm not so sure what the response will be this time. Hope they make it in time to form back their teams and new teams will emerge Added on May 6, 2009, 1:12 pmQUOTE(crashtec @ May 5 2009, 02:13 PM) 15-20 is actually quite good.
