u should be dealing with a lot of corporate / consultants which makes it a completely different ball game
it's not like selling to the mass public such as insurance / direct sales
those are the ppl that have the rotten apples in the trade which makes ppl scared of the word 'sales'

i'm really speechless d....it is a very dissapointment for fresh grads as us who desperately seeking for jobs and get such returns. Dear all, they often use different position titles and require candidates to be able to start jobs / interview immediately. Thats y it is very easy to con ppl to attend their interview and be a one day FOC labor for them. I was almost con while i'm attending NEW WAVE's interview. Luckily my bf fetched me there and noticed thats weird to go out with them for 1 day training. I saw them holding a box of sth like premiums but keep telling me that bring me out to test whether i suit for their company =.= ( i believe i would be doing door to door sales if i really follow them..omg)


So, this time i would not waste my time to attend the interview with Pacific Asiawide Group as it is related with TG Pacific and there were so much negative feedbacks of that company thanks so much guys for posting here.

Hey miss.... if u're working there; at least show us some proof about what r u actually doing (ur job scope) and don't leave us so many question marks!

I saw an add for Advertising & Event Crew in the Sun newspaper date Wednesday March 9. The description for the job is "good prospects for career advancement. Malaysia only. Call 03-58910676 (IOI Puchong) 03-22878922 (MidValley)" I call and check it out. The person spoke to me was "Nada" and says that the company is Pacific Asia Wide Group. I asked if there is a website that i can check for the job description, she say she can tell me about it, and so she told me basically i have to answer call, liase with client, deal with event and etc. I asked her for the qualification, she say none, training will be provided. Then i asked her about the salary, she says is RM400-600 weekly; reason she gave was that the company is UK based or something. That's when i got suspicious. Later on she just told me that she has scheduled me for an interview tomorrow and told me that the office is at MV Maybank opposite boulevard 2 suit 41 11th floor. and she can't even pronounce boulevard... i forgot how she pronounce it...i ask her to spell it out and she spell boulevard...hahaha...i was worried that it might be fraud, so i check it out online and saw all this comments. So i'm not going tomorrow. Waste of my time only!!!

how many times u have to rebuild your team?? how long did you take to get where u are rite now? should you be in the meeting room 'juicing' everyone and motivate them instead of trolling in LYN??

Firstly, its a company that do direct selling. Whatever they said is Gold. That why they will keep you dreaming. In the end you are a person who will keep bullshitting others for your own benefits. They employ new people and didn't give basic salary. They said commission are 90% yours. So you lived based on commission. If that week no sale, which means you ate rubbish only for that week. And if you give up, they will find others. No tied no agreement you are on your own. Nothing comes easy. So try find a job with a basic salary. Cheers~~

and Amcorp Mall there also have 1 of this company... couldn't remember the name. I went for the interview last year... 1st day of the interview, straight away bring me go drink coffee and explain the crap, then do field trip to mall and experience it.
lucky i didn't work for them, the interview is nothing but waste of my time, energy, parking and petrol!!

1. into direct sales (not MLM) but DIRECT f2f. i.e. meet ppl in the face and tell them you support WWF or KNF
2. Not much education credentials. SPM, STPM
3. Wan to find out what you are made of
4. Wanna try something other than what you've studied (u don need uni knowledge to do what they are doing)

So, Should I work there? I already went to the PAcific Asiawide office in MV and they said the salary is like this, one donor is RM72, and you get to travel around (which I think thats only for team leader or manager la) and she also said mostly there is travelling around Malaysia to approach to people.

But I am still in doubt whether should I go.. because the pay is very good.. but is sounded abit scamming-ish... Anyone worked there before? whats the experience like? what do you do weekly/daily?

First, I got a call from Amy saying that I've been shortlisted for interview at MidValley for my application on Jobstreet. I search back on my list of job applications and didn't apply any. Then I search on Jenjobs and yes, I did applied there but not from Jobstreet. Weird. PAC. I have worked there before during my sem break. Its actually nothing as they say it is. Basically its a sales position. I was selling the NGOs product (WWF, NKF, etc). The monthly contribution to these NGOs. You have to get anyone and everyone to sign up!! Better go for fixed income job. Lucky me it was just a sem break position!!

I was looking for jobs on Jobstreet and since I'm majoring in Events, I applied to Pacific Asiawide Group's opening for Entry Level Event Crew. Also a Chinese girl called Amy called me, saying that her boss wanna interview me. Her English was quite good, not like how other people's experiences. Office in Boulevard Mid Valley (Suite 9 Level 2). I scheduled interview with her, and like many other people, I Googled the company in preparation for the interview.

To my surprise, many people cited this as a scam company. I went there anyway, at 11am as per scheduled, and walked in to a very badly groomed lady called... Amy (bad make-up, skirt too short). Before I went in, I could hear techno playing through the glass door, and I was ushered into a small room with at least 7-8 other people, very well dressed, and was handed a clipboard with a form. Oh yes, and in a corner of the room, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was on TV very loudly (one or two of the applicants were more attentive to the movie than to the form that they were supposed to fill).

I found it very weird, 'cause I never heard of the company before, yet they claim to do work with international banks, charity NGOs. The office looked so run down and tacky, but everyone was dressed in business formal, all very well groomed (except for Amy).

A few other interviews I went to immediately discussed work hours and salaries at the end of the interview, but this company asked for a separate second interview just to discuss those.

Just wanna ask to clarify though, what exactly is the scam involved? Cuz it doesn't look like MLM.

i'll share what i went through during my dark years. the company is located beside amcorp pj. name of company: d one pacific, if i recall correctly. the nature of their business is basically 'marketing' for NGOs (NKF, UNHCR, WWF, etc). in layman term, they assist these NGOs in getting donations from the public. on my first day, we were sent to melaka for a week (me, another new recruit and 2 other seniors). what we do basically is set-up booths in front of banks/malls/anywhere possible where the traffic is high and by traffic, this means people. heck, we even open up the booth on the sideways. your commission comes from the number of sign-ups you can get. this means the more people you approach, the better the opportunity you have of them to donate. they can choose to donate one-off or even for a year or two. if you are an introvert, this would open you up to the world and help you counter your shyness. we would normally work for 12-14 hours. my advice to you if you want to proceed with this job is to get a nice pair of comfortable shoes and a big water bottle as this job involves a lot of standing around and talking to people. is this a scam? imho, it is not.
is the pay attractive? hmmm..you can think for yourself when it comes to commission based role. in a way, i can say that it was a fun experience, the people i worked with are good natured persons as they are just like us, looking forward to make money. like they all say, don't hate the player, hate the game. but i love triple h. how ah? heheheh...

Back from interview just now. I just googled about this company while filling the form. So I just go on with the interview with no intention. Answer pun lebih kurang. That guy said to me why need basic when you can earn more money. I don't believe it because I used to work like this before. Set up booth in front of bank or at LRT station and selling broadband. So if you guys out there like doing sales and direct approach, you can go give it a try.

just went to their interview session. yup! all of them well dresses and fluent in english but honestly no matter what position they offer you, please beware. It totally promoter job scope. no basic salary and based on previous comments. they're now upgrading with focusing on "future plan" for us lol.. the office a little bit off cause it doesn't even show as a well profit company. run fair and promoting. if you have doubt on the job position you applied for - the answer will be "because they want all workers start from the scratch". furthermore, they asked us to promote insurance. in 2016, people tried hard to cut off expenses and more likely to terminated their own insurance fee... and here we are promoting to those people. WAKE UP guys!!!! Common SENSE!

fk.. i went for the fking interview weh, for entry level event crew position. they were very convincing. i'm a fresh graduate so i'm very desperate one to get a job. the way they convince candidate is no joke. at first from the job ad on jobstreet i thought got basic salary. then when i ask they said it is solely based on performance. and they got this level of promotion where one person can simply be promoted from one position to another. i'm telling you if you're as naive as me you would completely buy what they say, 100%! the interview (one of the "team leader") noticed my concern look when he said they sell takaful insurance. of course i freak out la because suddenly i have to sell insurance pulak. and this guy who interviewed me say he worked there only 4 months but already making rm7000+. got 3 phases of interview, but all done by the same people. after i passed all phases then right away they said i passed, immediately congratulating me for the job. of course la i no knowledge of scam or whatever said yes and thank you etc. so proud of myself for getting the job on the spot (bodoh!). then when i come home i called my mom. I dunno la my mom got motherly instinct suddenly ask me if the company is a fraud. i said no la, looks legit. then i went to google the name of the company and this thread came up. i couldn't find their website also. thank God i saw this thread or else i would kena kaw2. i'm supposed to start immediately but now i only think of declining their offer. it's surprising because after many years they still use the same method to kencing fresh grad. also i saw many people came to the interview. i hope they also find this thread so they won't be scammed. so scary weh.

I got a call for interview from this company, Pacific GROUP located at mid valley Boulevard City. I got really suspicious because of how the HR conducted herself, she sounded partly drunk to me. The conversation was strange and not accommodating like other HR I've spoken to, they will usually clue you in on what the position entails and all, but this one didnt do so.

The same thing happened with others I read from here, the interview is strangely last minute at the very next morning. She told me to write down the address instead of sending me an email, her reason was that her superior told her to do so as it was more clearer this way.

Immediately got a red flag from the weird HR person and the fact they don't send out formal email invitations, lack of black and white procedure is weird. I checked out the company and thank goodness I found this thread, its a lifesaver.

This is a very interesting thread. Until these days these companies are still operating. Yeah, need to be very careful with these companies.

Well guess I saved alot of time because of this thread, saw some one offering job at KLpart time/full time facebook group stating monthly income rm2.5-3k start immediately, job location midvalley and mon-sat, only thing that is not stated is the company name, lucky right after i pm the first thing i ask is the company name, Google searched it and found this thread (Thanks google and Lawyat forums) saved me from all the hassle hehe 😉

I actually applied on jobstreet for the event & marketing & promotion position. They have a few different names on jobstreet and glassdoor, from what I observed. The job posting between the two different companies are exactly the same.

Just 30 mins ago, I received a call from them. At first I didn't answer the call because I wanted to see who was calling me. After the call ended, I checked my true caller app and found out it was pacific asiawide, calling from the midd Valley number.

That's when i Googled about the company and found this thread. Thank god.
