The white scale are slime or calcium.

To prevent first apply rain X.

The next thing to do is to understand why it build up on your tap, glass and floor and very hard to remove even with vinegar, baking soda, glass cleaner, etc. Water has calcium dissolved in it and when heated it become more active and being "disturbed" in the water. In order to prevent white scale spots turn off your hot water tap and spray cold water all over the place (your glass, wall tiles and floor) after bath.

Go buy Rain X, it should remove most of the spot. Do not try on metal or the tap cause I did not do that before and know not what the consequences.
