QUOTE(kelvyn @ Jan 10 2012, 09:14 AM) Construct a small up-stand kerb. This will prevent the shower water from flowing out to the rest of the bathroom. Went aroun and it seems that there are 3 option. As for the material, I recall being told that there is some ready made material that the installer could cut according to the site dimensions and fasten before installing the tempered glass. 1. get your tile contractor to install a tile type kerb 2. get the shower screen installer to install a aluminium type kerb 3. get the shower screen installer to install a solid surface (fiber or plastic) type kerb. I'll be going for option 3. if kick the kerb accidentally, less damage |

QUOTE(desmondloke @ Jun 17 2013, 04:51 PM) usually need a "kerb" to prevent water flow out from shower screen boundary. If existing floor do not have kerb, might need to hack the floor to add in. Another option is to add in a solid surface kerb. Should not need hacking for this. I guess with the same logic you might not even need to hack to add in a tiled kern but might look fugly. |
