Your link is broken. (Service not available). Perhaps you might want to share the competition category and prize money to get more attention. Any event for open category, robotic hobbyist?

The links is ok now, I guess server restart when I visit that day. Anyway, your webpage are misleading, looking forward to the final version.

To build a 15kg robot and then put it into destructive competition, well, people need some kind of motivation, especially for open category. (I mean reward and prize money).

Perhaps you may want to include a special (show-off) category, where you invite all roboteers (especially hobbyist) to participate, and show-off what their robot can do. That include on-shelves and off-shelves robots. People who used the same kit can share ideas, while DIY builders can share their building experience.

It would be a great gathering and forum for exchanging ideas, i.e. electronics, tools and machine, material selection, control and functionality, where to get what etc.

I'm not sure how many roboteers are out there in Malaysia, but giving some form of appreciate would definitely gets more attention. Did you extend invitation to NTU?
