Allenultra, the paper said u have to fill up a form and fax to compaq within a period of time for the 3 years warranty. BTW, is yours CQ 42 188TX (core i3)? Is the cq 42 reliable than Acer? Are there any major issues? I read that hp came last for the rate of 'returned' faulty laptops.

Allen, did u fill up the registration form and fax to 03-20940861 within 10 days of purchase? Said in newspaper, 3-yr warrant only valid upon registration.

Well, I am comparing this cq42 vs Asus K40 series vs Lenovo G460. Op System is optional. From pricing and warranty itself CQ42 wins.

So, will go for it tmrw.
