Hey guys,

Anyone here using gravity? Did you pay for it, cause price is steep for just one app? Or is there any ahem ahem... way to get it... no results in google.

I know how to solve this issue. Make sure you don't cover your tube's light sensor and u will be able to press the buttons. But for my v21 solved this issue.
Don't worry la most of us got no problem with it. In fact I updated twice. Once with FOTA and another time on NSU. Both no problems. ANd also NO difference  doh.gif
*
Haha,

Same here, updated via FOTA, then NSU twice. No difference at all except the "false" satisfaction that we have a full update. Haha, would have done it either way, OCD smile.gif

hey man i suggest you update first then start playing with your tube. V21 speeds up the tube so all your playing around will be faster. Also the speed in internet surfing is huge compared to v20

Hey everyone, yet another program for gps has been released for our phone: Go to google and type in ndrive 3.4.23. Go to the first link smile.gif The rest is up to you. I am installing now. Will update if it works well.

p/s: malaysian maps are there as well

edit: download is taking really long, if anyone manages to install first, let me know smile.gif Map is prob gonna be the same one as sygic, but the interface looks cool smile.gif (I still use garmin most of the time, but won't hurt to have alternatives, Sygic is already one)

Its not about what software u use. The problem is the maps.

Currently the most updated maps is garmin. So can all this application use garmin maps or a more updated map.

No point having so many new application when the gps maps are outdated
*
I agree the maps are outdated, however for simple navigation in normal places, like big cities, they are good alternatives and the interface is much better than garmin. For highways and smaller places I agree that garmin is better. Well I will go ahead and install and lets see if anyone else is interested.

i already tested many alternative application when the maps are not updated.

Imagine this ure lost in the CITY and it ask u to turn left when the road ure suppose to enter doesnt exist anymore.

COol share with us how accurate it is.
Use logic Garmin maps are updated by ppl donating POI and updating location to mappers.

example ndrive who update their maps from? their own malaysian team of mappers? I learned a lesson alternative got me even more lost.
*
Like I said, for those who are interested go ahead and install. The maps that most other apps aside from garmin are most probably the NT maps that were updated this March 2009.

Ok just to report to those who are interested:

Installed Ndrive and it works fine, the map contains more POI compared to Sygic so I am not sure if the map is the same. Graphics and interface are very nice and there is a nice British lady's voice that comes along with it. For more info on the product go to:

http://www.ndriveweb.com/

To download and install go to google and type in:

ndrive 3.4.23

go to the first link and follow the instructions.

Ndrive is a portuguese software.....its better than garmin, anyone install?
*
Bro,

The interface is very clean and good. Also I feel it connects very fast. But that just might be because previously my location was saved on the phone by garmin. Otherwise, the downside is the map, it is an old map, just checked 09/2008. But so far here in Penang near Gurney all locations are available. However, if somehow we could use the garmin maps here, it would be perfect. Sadly I don't think it will be that easy. smile.gif Go ahead and try it and tell us here at the forum what you think.

somehow i noticed that the file format is .map for ndrive and .pak for sygic and for your info, .map and .pak are file formats for the old Quake map editor... lol if u can use it to open .img then u can convert the file
*
Sounds promising, let me know if you can get it to work and will do the same here smile.gif

Ok just tested out NDrive. It is basically like Sygic. I think Sygic might even be better. But for those who have tested it out more extensively, do share smile.gif

Need help

Any idea how to change garmin map pointer?

IF missing map pointer icon where to get it? cry.gif

Thx

Create a folder called vehicle in the garmin folder. Go to the official garmin website and download the various icons. they have a lot there. Then go to settings and change the vehicle icon. Can even have a boy running around smile.gif

edit: settings -> map -> vehicle

may i know 5800 n n79 which 1 better???

see some review said n79 more decent
any comment from 5800 user??

hey a very satisfied tube user here. My friend has the n79 and regrets getting it after playing with my tube. The only thing better in the n79 is the camera. The os is s60v3, which is older. And the screen is smaller. With the tube every cent is worth it. You get so much for your buck. Also garmin is great on the bigger screen. Go for the tube you wont regret.

clicked reload on my tube and it reposted. Well another good point for the tube is that the ovi store is coming and there are going to be many new apps out for it. Either way i am sure most on this forum will support when i say just go out and get a sweet black tube. Would have bought black if it was out when i bought.
