Games that i can imagine suitable for Wii motion plus (not as a gimmick) are mostly sports games like sword, wrestling, tennis baseball, boxing, bowling, golf etc. How bout FPS? gimmicky at most. How bout driving/flight simulations? Maybe, but i don't see how the current wiimote is inadequate. Just like the wiimote, wii motion plus will get a share of a handful shovelware 'experiments' in the future. coz you just don't know what works until u introduce it to the market.

wii sport resort still long time more leh. end july
pre order virtual tennis or grand slam tennis first. they will come out earlier around june. I like to preorder, but i not sure i am in the country that time. that is always my problem nowadays. |

Wonder how will motion plus enhance FPS? remember motion plus makes your wii mote more sensitive to movements, but it does not make the infrared sensors (the one used when u point to the TV) more sensitive. So, i can't see motion plus can help in making an FPS any better other then providing gimicky features. right?

i dono, but anybody seen 1st person figthers/brawlers before? i don't mean 3rd person like madworld, or fps.
motion plus is good for that noh? pasang 1 on the right hand, and one on the left hand, u already have a realistic fist brawl. add 2 more and pasang at you legs, then u really fighting using all 4 limbs..... if wii support 5 motion plus, can even use your head (select wisely your choice which head to use) ....maybe next gen. Wow, fight club could be realized like that. But if I remember correctly, the Wii Sports Boxing already showed that it was possible without Motion Plus. Or I just forgot about it already.

boxing without motion plus is different. Have u tried wii sports boxing? sucks big time. coz it is not percise. it can't really measure whether your boxing glove is at head level, or chest level. and it can't measure the exact placement of your jab. it can't measure the power of your jab, only that u are making one. and finer movements to your hands is not reflected in d game. motion plus can measure all that.

if you guys have been reading about FPS and motion plus...
honestly, it doesn't do much... guess what? The Conduit actually wanted to integrate the M+ into the gameplay, and only find out that it does nothing much, except that it works better for the knife stabs, which well, pretty works good without it... so, they decided to take it out...=) anyway, games which utilizes swords, racquets and, some other stuffs(imagine Zack and Wiki with M+), i think that it would play pretty much better... i hate that sword fight in Z&W...never seem to win it...=_=" |

FPS - perhaps you want your shotgun to load more canggihly. or perhaps u don't like to always see you gun butt always at yr shoulders, maybe u like to shoot with the gun butt at your forehead. or maybe u like to have a shot at your own balls and see how it feels like digitally. microsoft is already in the works of motion controllers. sony i heard is also doing the same. but they are trying to be different from nintendo, so lets see what they come up with. I love competition. but for tradititinal gamers they might still maintain the old controllers. to me games of the future must have emmersive experience in mind. virtual reality is the way to go.....imagine playing an fps by being in it, not just watching it externally from the TV....that's the drift i would like gaming to be heading to

honestly, Z&W...i could say that overall, it's a fun game, but there are places which i just don't like to play just because that the wii remote sensing is "defective", i just can't get things turn the correct way...=_="
i prefer traditional button presses for those games...life will be so much easier...let's see what M+ can do with other puzzle games...=) |

I definitely am. on the tennis package first. but which one is better ah? virtua tennis or grand slam tennis? waiting for the review on these. but grand slam seems more open in their preview. not like virua tennis they are very secretive. secretive before launch is sign of problems. not a golf fan, otherwise would consider the pga tour. got freesbie golf too, that one i can relate. but not worth to get it just to throw freesbie

u know what really compliments a wii motion plus? i can only imagine coz they don't exist yet. A head gear over your eyes and ears that allows u be emmersed in a 3D world of your favourite FPS. why can't they come up with that already. the technology is already there.

at the current rate, i don't expect wii m+ to be available in mal until at least 2 weeks from now.
do we need to do a system update for wii M+? coz i thinking logicaly the API (computer talk) for wii M+ support is not yet part of version 4.0 yet. so a some sort of system update should be required, or maybe, when u load the game for the first time, it will kau tim for u. |

it doesn't do 1:1 motion sensing as what they said in E3/Gamespot.... maybe because i didn't play tennis in real life before. I guess the game is a disappointment...I think I have seen somewhere that it does sense motion better in Tiger Wood PGA tour.

Anyone know when Motion+/GST will be available in local shops? Went to Sungei Wang, looking for it, but the shop sellers were bewildered when I even said Motion Plus with the words 'Wii Controller'. Horrible! Shows how little they know about the latest products they sell.

well, the 1st stall i managed to see it was at mid valley...
they ordered 2 only because its quite expensive... it's the US version of it cost like around rm 130~rm140 there i said i wanted both, then they told me best price is rm125 each... then i brought up the play asia price at rm88...they said those are from japan, so should be cheaper... then i added that the motion plus is "region free" for controllers...why not call those in? anyway, after all that talk...i was given the expectation that it will price drop when the bundle comes out (with the games)...so, well, wait for it i guess...lolz also, to add, if the US version is about usd 25 each, rm125 sounds...a little reasonable because they need to earn too...still comparing to play asia's price is a bargain...=) This post has been edited by LostWanderer: Jun 14 2009, 03:52 PM |

currently M+ is an add-on item...maybe in future it will be bundle along with wiimote... which is duno yet...coz m+ is not compulsory for all games..

to lob and do dropshots still must press button leh.
i play tennis. its a hard game, so maybe that is why is hard to learn coz its realistic, right? so i really wonder how close it is to real tennis. guess i wouldn't know until i get the game. but pressing buttons for lobbing and drop shots is kurang realistic. |

Just try the VT2009 and GST with the Wii Motion plus, i feel like i have been cheated, when using the plus i m still feeling is just like nothing different with the normal one.....maybe i should need more time to use it.....

i just got 2 M+s at times square, and it just arrived...
also, other people that were claiming that they saw rm 90 at sungei wang plaza...all the shops, but only one there were not selling it (didn't see it on display) i enquired...hoping that it was rm 90, but turns out to be rm 135...i was like...ok...haha (it's the US model) anyway, one model is US, another is JAP it was on sale for rm 110 ea got it each for RM100 ea (coz purchasing 2), and i bargained further for a free game... picked Grand slam tennis, just to test out the difference with M+...honestly, i didn't see/feel the difference, but maybe it's just me...lol oh well, i think that rm200 for those purchases makes it worth it, as it is the cheapest i can find so far...i'm a happy consumer as far as i'm concerned...(especially for obtaining a US model) This post has been edited by LostWanderer: Jun 29 2009, 10:18 PM |

the thing i know about sungei wang and other places i've went is that...if you really don't know the market price...
the price tag there will stick an incredible amount of RM needed to purchase it, but upon enquiry, they will drop it until about nearly the market rate, but still higher if you are able to, the price is still bargain able, so, please bargain further than the mentioned price they gave |

Got my M+ with Tiger Woods. Honestly didn't notice much of a difference using the M+ with normal golfing; but that's probably an implementation issue.
I'm sure Sports Resort will be much better; but it worries me that only Nintendo will deliver at making something that's really worth playing. More shovelware from 3rd parties. |

i heard a lot of great reviews regarding the implementation of m+ on Tiger woods 10
and the fact that some reviews, (i forgot which one), stated that tiger wood's m+ is even better than the one in wii sports resorts (for the golfing comparison only) maybe you will need to get accustomed to the controls before sensing the difference? give it some more play time i guess, and maybe you will notice the difference...XD This post has been edited by LostWanderer: Jul 1 2009, 12:27 PM |

i received my wm+ today and tested on wii resort jap. the control is 1 to 1 but the logic behind that is not really.
for ex. i play table tennis in wii resort. i can hit early and the AI behind Wii Resort still wait for the ball to bounce in order to able to hit. also playing the flying saucer, you can rotate the flying saucer 1 on 1 while holding it, what happen if you let it go, it is still 1 to 1 programming? these is just my 2 cents comment on WM+ |

i went to sg wang to buy M+ today. i don want to name the shop. it is shop with a thread in the games garage sales. he gave me rm110 when i ask about the price of the US M+. when i say i want, he gave me Japanese M+. i was smart to see and i insist i wan the US version that i point to. lucky for him he gave me. he took a look at the rm299 price tag to see whether the rm110 price is ok or not. he thinks i don't know the price for Jap M+ that is cheaper even though he say both is the same. i know the usage is the same but the price isn't.

Was playing it with Wii Sports Resort. The game is super fun and interesting too As usual the higher lvl you are using ur mii char. for each activity, the higher level ur opponent is. Hundred times better than WII SPORTS , i must say. Accuracy 1:1 with M+ Works brilliant to the game. |

yeah only 3 so far, if u exclude the wii sports resorts to be out 26 jul on NTSC/US. i haven't really counted, but there should be close to 10 by year end. the hype now is wii sports resorts, which is bundled is wm+ . but u will need at least another one to play multiplayer.

In multiplayer , 1st will be sword fighting 1vs 1 2nd will be canoeing in coop mode which is very nice. No split screen for this activity. |

played wii sport resort with my kid yesterday. well not really, coz her friends were there to grab d remote from me. they especially like the canoeing, air sports, and archery. so busy playing they forget about me. well, didn't play much to give my thoughts yet, but is nice to see them enjoy tremendously. but i notice the motion plus do get out of synch if jerk the wiimote wildly. for example for adults they know how paddling should should be done, but for kids they just gasak only with very wild movements, and after a while it will throw the motion plus out of sync. now, that's not quite up to expectations. although there is a remedy to it, it needs to be initiated by the player himself.

i couldnt really feel how m+ makes grand slam more 'realistic', maybe i should invest more time in it however wii sports resort like in swordplay u instantly feel the upgrade of new gyroscope but wii sports feels like a collections of demos.. cannot wait for real games, eg redsteel2.. its going to be good! |

in wii sports resorts, just use the "+" button, and lay the mote on a flat surface again...
and if you ever try holding it to recalibrate...it won't recalibrate easily...(it detects minor shakes too...so, yea) |

Woo Hoo!! loved the sword fighting... and I can see lots of potential for such game play... and i'll bet there will be a future Starwars light saber fighting game using WM+ can't wait for Red Steel 2 also The flying game almost bring tears to my eyes, and I was grinning non-stop while playing it really bring back memories when we were kid playing with our toy plane flying it around the play yards. The WM+ control mechanism is really awesome |

there's an instruction booklet in the box telling you how to install the WM+ then there's another piece of instruction in the sleeve then when you start WSR for the first time, they'll force you to watch the video on how to install the WM+ again |

well, the table tennis game is quite fun, but doesn't really have the full flexibility of playing a real table tennis game...also, some of the spins are simply too powerful and easily executed...(as in real life you wanna spin like that...dream on...XD)
other than those, yea, it's quite fun...(and it will make your arm really tired) |

Read your manual that comes with game. however, since you mentioned, your unit is a korean version, I assume it's modded, then by upgrading the system, most likely your Wii will be bricked. |

just got my M+ from bro greyshadow today. I was completely addicted to swordfighting in WSR. Played it the whole night and nothing else. Would try other games tmr. Really love this add on.

ask around. distributors are picky depending on saleability. i remember when US released the WSR with 1 WM+ bundle, it was just a matter of days (i think it was just 3 days) to arrive in malaysia. WSR with 2 WM+ bundle is not as hot as the former. So it will take some time to reach malaysia. It has not even reach PA.

yeah, with the wii m+, requires lota practice to be really good, and when u think u are really good already, try playing online. when i play online then only realize how weak i am compared to those hardcore gamers out there.
I notice the bandwidth requirement for online is quite high. for people owning a 1Mb/s or less broadband line, is best to play online during less peak periods like early in the morning. As bandwidth requirement is high, your oppenent actions will not flow fluidly for u to read his moves well. oops, in case u not following this thread, i am talking about grand slam tennis. u load the game first. if can, then good. if cannot, then means there is some work to do, like visit forums, download and load patches, and etc. eventually after a hard days work, it would work. else visit another forum and try again. but if u are an expert (probably means u moderate those forums), then u can do it with your eyes close

for nmh 2...i think the plan to use wm+ was scrapped off as far as i can recall properly
as what's a m+? well, it's a peripheral device...sorta like your nunchuck, but its main function is to map 1:1 motion control not many games use this device at this point of time, however, some famous games like Tigerwoods 10, Grand slam tennis and Wii sports resorts are the worth mentioning ones currently in the market future games like red steel 2 and zelda wii are what i have in mind utilizing wm+ in the future...of course, there will be more games utilizing this device...but i can't recall of any more for now is this a must buy? well, if you really are looking forward to play zelda wii and wii sports resort, then it is a must buy, as the games will only work/load when you have a wm+ attached to your wiimote also, if you like a tighter feel to your controls, then you can purchase this as well (only if the game recognizes the add on, meaning that the developers made their games compatible with the wii motion +) otherwise, you can forget about purchasing this as...there are many games which doesn't really need to use this to function properly how much does this costs? the last time i check, should be around rm80 till rm 120...more likely you'll find shops selling this at around rm100 ea there though |

i was hoping it could since the boxing game in wii sports always frustrates me coz when i wanna do something, the character does something else
(e.g: i wanna do lower punch, it does an uppercut)i always left knocked out and if i won, it's usually when i'm lucky |

nobody play wii sports anymore! it just make u all excited and horny, but when the sex is over, u realise is just not deep penetration. wii sports resort is a better lover.

Thomas If you've played Wii Sports Resort's Swordplay Showdown mode, you know how GhostSlayer plays -- it's an on-rails "slasher" where you control a lone swordsman who walks forward, stops to slice some baddies with his sword, then walks forward some more, then slices more baddies . . . and so on. The controls are a spot-on copy of Resort's, right down to including support for Wii MotionPlus, centering your aim by pointing and clicking with the A Button before a round and taking a defensive stance with the B Trigger. The enemies get more creative than just an endless swarm of Mii characters coming at you with foam swords, but the foundation's exactly the same. And your reaction to that fact will determine whether or not this is six bucks you want to spend -- personally, I think it's a smart move. The Showdown mini-game was one of the highlights of Nintendo's Resort package for me, and carbon-copying its control scheme into a design skinned with more adult-oriented subject matter is an easy and intelligent move. More developers should learn from Gevo's approach here, at least in the area of Wii motion control -- instead of wasting time trying to reinvent the wheel with every new game, just let Nintendo take the lead, copy what works from those efforts and add your own spin to the rest of the package. So GhostSlayer isn't wholly original, but it doesn't need to be -- and 600 Points for something new to do with your dust-collecting MotionPlus peripheral isn't bad at all. I've got 2 for Rm160. If you're using normal AA batteries, the batteries would be dried in no time. Currently only playing it with Wii Sports Resort. Love the Fencing!
