played wii sport resort with my kid yesterday. well not really, coz her friends were there to grab d remote from me. they especially like the canoeing, air sports, and archery. so busy playing they forget about me. well, didn't play much to give my thoughts yet, but is nice to see them enjoy tremendously. but i notice the motion plus do get out of synch if jerk the wiimote wildly. for example for adults they know how paddling should should be done, but for kids they just gasak only with very wild movements, and after a while it will throw the motion plus out of sync. now, that's not quite up to expectations. although there is a remedy to it, it needs to be initiated by the player himself.

i got 2 wii m+, playing wii sports resort + grand slam tennis i couldnt really feel how m+ makes grand slam more 'realistic', maybe i should invest more time in it however wii sports resort like in swordplay u instantly feel the upgrade of new gyroscope but wii sports feels like a collections of demos.. cannot wait for real games, eg redsteel2.. its going to be good!

QUOTE(prazole @ Aug 1 2009, 05:46 AM) i couldnt really feel how m+ makes grand slam more 'realistic', maybe i should invest more time in it u need more practise, trust me. the wm+ is not one to one for gst, but is definitely more sensitive then wii sports tennis. u just need to relearn how to play tennis the gst way. once u have a hang of it, u will notice u have considerable control of where u want to place the ball, and the spin of the ball. so wm+ gets really necessary to improve your gst tennis. u will not able to go hardcore with gst without wm+. as for the wm+ going off sync, i dono, just recalibrate i guess. i notice if u point the wiimote at the screen after each point, the wm+ will behave better. but points lost because of off sync doesn't really happen so often. maybe once every 30 or so strokes. so its tolerable.

Any solution for that? in the game they actually mention that if its not behaving normal, hold it still for 2 seconds it will recallibrate i tried its working fine in GST however in wii sports resort u have to do it manually This post has been edited by prazole: Aug 2 2009, 10:29 PM

in wii sports resorts, just use the "+" button, and lay the mote on a flat surface again... and if you ever try holding it to recalibrate...it won't recalibrate easily...(it detects minor shakes too...so, yea)

got mine WM+ yesterday, tried Wii Sports Resort last night... Woo Hoo!! loved the sword fighting... and I can see lots of potential for such game play... and i'll bet there will be a future Starwars light saber fighting game using WM+ can't wait for Red Steel 2 also The flying game almost bring tears to my eyes, and I was grinning non-stop while playing it really bring back memories when we were kid playing with our toy plane flying it around the play yards. The WM+ control mechanism is really awesome

The WM+ control mechanism is really awesome i don't think i will miss my traditional controller so much. motion controls are here to stay. i just wonder why microsoft and sony took so long for them to react to this change. As early as 2005 when wii prototype motion control, they thought it was just a fad, 2006 when wii was launch, they still tought it was a fad. 2008 when WM+ prototype was introduced, then only they start seriously looking into this. 2009 when wii released WM+ then only they start showing their prototypes. If sony/microsoft were not so stubborn, there would be serious competition as early as 2007.

1 thing annoying about this WM+ is... there's an instruction booklet in the box telling you how to install the WM+ then there's another piece of instruction in the sleeve then when you start WSR for the first time, they'll force you to watch the video on how to install the WM+ again
