is possible to make shrimp tank with that size but u have to bear in mind tat the smaller tank u have..the less stable ur water parameter.....but if u were to keep CRS..then is advisable to keep them in at least 2ft and above tank...i have a RCS tank and the size is just 18" x 8" x 8"....heheheeh

nvr touch these 2 things since the day i start keeping RCS....

well...RCS is more hardy than CRS..so yea...so with consistent temp and stabilized water..i think u can keep it tho....

ouh...nvr dose fert oo....just let them grow themselves....using seacheam dunnu wat sand....maybe chuppy can help on the soil part..i got those from him ...but is fertilized sand...

dem..hard to find those fert...just went to 2 LFS near my house and only one LFS selling JBL ferropol.....i wonder that can be use as well??

but then when i ask i wan to dose potassium only..so they got wat to recommend...but that person pass me a bottle and told me is tat one...but i read the ingredient sticker...dun have potassium also

i think my next nano tank will be a puffer tank..mini puffer is cute...

maybe it died because of old age??from the size i see is quite big already.....shrimps life span is 1 and half years if not mistaken but not all shrimps will get exactly 1 and half years and it's not alot of shrimps died at the same time...so yea..try monitor and see how's situation goes....

IMO, with the budget like this...i'll opt for 2ft tank...15 guppies should be okay in 2ft but of course like catacombs said...3ft tank is better for your guppies....anyway...maybe u can purchase 2nd hand canister filter and also DIY CO2 1st....and if u going for low tech plant..use holland sand and stuff some JBL fert ball inside your soil to fertilize the soil...if you were buy aquasoil...i afraid your budget will be insufficient
