Hope you understand, I'm not finding trouble (cari pasalling) with you... just that research and prepare before you dive into anything.. I mean come-on, what do I (I, saya, me) get to gain out of this? I'm not making any money out of this hobby and I'm giving off free advices ( though sometimes may be inaccurate )

@ playerseeker,
The moss is a definite yes, as for the rotala, not sure lo.. cos they were floating in my holding tank for quite soem time d... I gave u the healthiest looking batch, the rest i trashed them already..

For a 4feeter, I'd get a CL650.

@ yujin and brothers,

Here's a good one,

Usermode has never bought CRS before, yet they appear magically in his tank..

SS grade too.. bagger.

@ yujin,
Seriously consider this a miracle? no adult crs in his tank, only cherries, i suspect that one of them is the ruby red wine variant..

I agree with playerseeker here, if you're serious with CRS, then go for the 2feeter, less headaches smile.gif

And if you're just for shrimp and low tech plants .. 55w is nice.

@playerseeker,

You're now officially CONFUSED about water volume and temperatures...

Bigger water volume as the physics masters here had said, would just be able to keep the temperature more STABLE... not LOWER. means it won't suddenly fluctuate when environmental temperature change occurs. Bigger water surface on the other hand, increases evaporation,(with a fan, it would move the surface , therefore increase the exchange of temperature. e.g. cool your tank down) ..

In simple terms, GET A FAN OR CHILLER.!!

I don't see 3 feeters or 4feeters which is nicely scaped and uses minimal lighting without Fans or Chillers in Malaysia before IMHO - or in an a/c-ed room in case you smart mouths want to say anything.. ( I'm pretty sure about this, but I'm ready to be proven otherwise.)

USually , the 2nd hand market for CL 650 under 1 year is around rm 700.. anywhere after that is 500~600

Just my 2 cents, again I may be wrong.

I said drop checker is the most worth it item, I won't scold.. would commend you on it biggrin.gif

I find no cheap or other alternatives(except maybe Cal-aqua or so) has any drop checkers as effective as the ADA drop checker, none of any of the imitation brands one turned blue overnight..

Good choice ( If you were to buy an ADA AP-FEEDER or something along that line... I'll come on you hard LOL!!!)

Though I have to be honest, recently just aquired an ADA Cabachon Ruby check valve, Go ahead! Bomb me back! LOL!!!

Kick start is when it is running to cool down your tank(except maybe those fan based chillers).. All chillers need to kick start to cool down your tank.. for a 3feeter and such a small chiller, I bet it kick starts a lot or it is constantly running until you dunno what kick start IS LOL

Rm 400 for a cl280 is a ripoff!

Apparently, in the 1st hand market, the CL 650 more desirable coz of the price difference between the models. In the 2nd hand market, cl 280 is much more desirable coz many people have small tanks LOL!(and price is less than halved!)

@yujin, not to keep secret, hard to keep track of all the aquatic related people who add me.. so keep the flow slow ma.

Drew
