w00t!.. Finally gotten a wireless/wired hybrid mouse!.. (Sidewinder X8 loh.. what else?!.. tongue.gif).

At first i thought the X8 will be too big for me, but actually pretty common size for a gamer mice.

Not to mentioned i have pretty small hand, and the size not too big for me, just it takes sometime to get use to it.

The magnetic power cable works great (very simple concept, yet very easy and convenient to use), much better than Razer Mamba.

Just tested it on UT3 and TF2, works great so far and hopefully no problem for many years to come too wink.gif

I gotta say, it looks much better than the first version of Sidewinder (the one comes with weights), as it is much bigger and less comfortable, luckily didn't get it even tho Thundermatch having promo at rm119.

For added info, i tested on practically all mouse surfaces (mousemat/mousepad):-
=========================================

1. Cloth mousemat (Razer Goliathus) = works great!  thumbup.gif
2. Hard mousepad (Razer Exactmat) = works great!  thumbup.gif
3. Glass mousepad (Corepad Magna Blue) = works wonderful!  thumbup.gif

Cheers biggrin.gif

one question regarding the x8 mouse. If u take out the battery and plug in the usb cable, will it work without the battery on cable?

The x8 bulk is giving me pressure between Gigabyte Ghost, and x8. doh.gif

I just notice this while watching the bluetrack demo video.
I guess 3.5g laser wins.

Lol... That's cheap. Have they got the Mamba though?? Wonder when it'll arrive in Malaysia...

P.S. Anyone interested in buying an X5??

X5 will only attract buyers when u reveal the price

SGD$199?! ohmy.gif Crazy, I think the X8 is more worth it for a BlueTrack Wireless mouse..

Who knows... some of us needs the mouse to work on every type of surface, aka u won't know what kind of surface the table is when ur using the mouse.

X8 Rules! BlueTrack Rules! Charge On The Fly Rules! LCD Display Rules!

Does that answer your question boon.fong? laugh.gif

Looks at the feedback for logitech g15. Some ppl DO complain why do u need a lcd display, while ur not even lookin' at it so frequent. doh.gif

No offense but just some critics from ppl who find the lcd display useless.

ermm...G7 got alot of bad battery reviews(spoils/faulty/etc)...x5 and x8 are great with 2000dpi/4000dpi(respectively) and macro function...x5 doesn't have weights but x8 does...x8 has a good BlueTrack tracking sensor that works well and so far no problems with reviews...x5=wired, x8=wireless OR wired(in wired mode, it can work with or without battery)...price wise...x5 is cheaper than x8...but there is an underdog that ppl need to realize and not forget the Sidewinder Mouse (promoting here tongue.gif )...its not x5 or x8..its the original sidewinder mouse that came out in year 2008...go check it out...i bet the price is gonna be attractive too... brows.gif (i'm a proud owner of 1 ph34r.gif )

U sure, the sidewinder x8 can work in wired mode without battery? I think i might be poisoned. doh.gif

the spoiler below shows a post made by Aura just a a page back... brows.gif ...he is one of the first x8 owners here...anyway..it makes sense too that as long as the mouse is wired and current flowing, it's sure to work... flex.gif

But still, sidewinder x8 bulk is rm30 more than gigabyte ghost mouse. One last, one bluetrack. Both 4000dpi. One wired, one flexible.
