I don't think it will work as the online trading was developed to trade using IE or Firefox with maximum security.

Not only that, you need to have Java at least V1.6 which takes up large space ram.

I wonder brokers want to spend more money to develop other systems hmm.gif

Correct me if i am wrong.

My broker trading system can work only with Internet Explorer 6/8 , can view through chrome and firefox only.

Netbook 8.9" or 10.2" should be quite ideal. 7" if you prefer smaller.

Better use with a 3G modem.

ipod and palm unlikely to work! netbook not much difference with the notebook. If monitor only, if that possible or not?

Those already buy the edge magazine, any good or bad new to share?

If want mini portable netbook to do trading o9 stock, can use Everun Raon.
Its battery standard can last about 4 hours, extended battery 8 hrs.
http://www.umpcportal.com/2007/07/757

I'm using one mainly for o9 stock trading., bought from SG. If willing to spend more, get the OQO E2.
Thinking to upgrade mine. tongue.gif

QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Apr 25 2009, 09:17 AM)
One should not overlook the liberation of the NEP , that has burdened the Malaysia economy for a long time, perhaps 30 years or more.

I remember in Year 1998, Dr. Mahathir declared a tax free year for all companies. That was one listed one that I know of used to report profit of one to two millions, suddenly able to report RM 50m that year ( we were in recession )

That might help the economy  to turnaround.

I trust the liberation of NEP would do the magic numbers in the long run. For short term, honestly I do not know by how pts it would boost up the CI. Whether the economy  is good or bad, there bounds to be technical corrections along the ways . That you cannot avoid.

Investors needed to be farsighted if they want better returns than expecting the normal yearly dividends.

Again, wishing the best to all.

I wish that would be the case, but I doubt that they will declare tax free year when nthey are spending so much on the stimulus plan. Gosh, if they did, reaching 1200 in the KLCI index would not be a problem and all us LYN investors will be typing on how loud we laughed our way to the bank. Hehehehe.

I'm glad that they have abolished the 30% bumi equity needed to list, for the 27 service subsectors. It would at least make bursa malaysia a more attractive place to list their companies in said sectors, comparable to, say, listing in Singapore?

Monday, Najib would announce something on Financial Sectors, maybe modeling those from Singapore biggrin.gif

Just speculate only.

I guess the liberation comes gradually than one off.

Hopefully. smile.gif That would be good news. It's about time they copy some of Singapore's better measures, rather than doing the reverse just to show their finger at our Southern neighbors.

I've got bullet on Monday, where to aim it at? smile.gif

Guys, Ramunia up is because of option 1 or 2 ?

1.Ramunia up is because the Sime Darby already try to get as much as shares from the public to take over Ramunia.

2.The investor (i.e us) interest to buy Ramunia (so the share price up so much) after know the news of Sime Darby interest to take over Ramunia.

If 1, then monday sure up up up. If 2, Ramunia will drop back to the previous level if the news of Sim Darby false.
*
The thing is what will happen to SIME share pice? Anyone know anything more about this deal?

So any recommendations on counters to buy, Sky?

Buy on rumors and sell on news.
Hmmm, maybe I'll sell my entire portfolio and buy finance stocks in the morning. Then take profit in the afternoon.

1) Well, i do agree 101% on this point.

2) Practically, you can do that. Buy think again, if you are a long term investor , you would have to look up to the future plans of the Government i.e on Services and Financial services that would carry weights on our future GDP.

Some industries could be termed as sunrise, some termed as sunset.

So for long term investors, you need to know where are the potentials, to put your money in. Basically ,the fund managers could do the same.

Malaysia, i think has the potentials in Financial Services, still a sunrising ind.

Just my personal opinion.

The decision is yours.

P/S : i am not doing any hard sell here. personally i have not put my money into this area yet. And i do not owe you a duty to explain, but sad to see blogger of financial backgrounds like you talk in very shadow manner. I believe all bloggers have a basic duty to educate the public.

Yup. My unit comes with HSDPA modem built in. It support both data and voice. Can even make and receive phone call will browsing internet.
Use BT headset for voice function or can use its normal built in mic or speaker for making call can but sure look weird. laugh.gif

The built in HSDPA is like this model but more advance type.
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=991878&hl=wwan

My unit modem model is MC8775V. The V is with voice capabilities.

Ram is only 512mb. I've install XP , MS off 2007 and its running quite well.

Get a mini bluetooth GPS receiver and pair it 2gether, it will become a GPS device. icon_idea.gif
