Is this unifi bebas RM35 hotspot good enough for ipad if monthly usage around 50gb per month? or is it too slow for hotspot?

any other prepaid got huge data for hotspot around 50gb and price around RM30-40? i will use the data mainly for hotspot.
*
band 40 = good enough
band 5 = oklah can use 3G like speed
unlimited hotspot
speed capped good enough faster than most unlimited plan at this price range.

Same situation here sad.gif Is there a way for us to check which network has the best coverage in a certain area?

Thinking to switch to Celcom from TuneTalk as well but afraid that the coverage issue would still be the same since the latter is under Celcom if not mistaken.
*
coverage -- signal quality -- speed
use cellmapper to mapping tower and coverage
cellmapper

tower with multi antenna is sharing tower with many telco
tower with single antenna could be MOCN tower multi telco sharing radio
school tower is yes tower
some place TM unifi using single tower

Hi sifus, need recommendation for any Telco postpaid plan better than the current one.

Reason to change: Since last year November, u-mobile line not stable even under 4g coverage area. Wasted 5GB hotspot, never used for long time.

Preferred postpaid with unlimited internet and calls, especially in palm oil estates since I will be always outstation. U-mobile proves to be limited, sometimes no line inside estates or mills.

My monthly usage of data is under 50GB.

Current postpaid plan:
U-mobile GX50, monthly RM53 including GST
5Mbps unlimited internet and unlimited calls to local telco
5GB hotspot.
*
yeah umobile have the best plan/qouta/price but the coverage/speed is so- so. Have to lock band and put the phone outdoor

Rural area look like Umobile dont like take part with MOCN tower. celcom digi maxis full bar same MOCN tower. umobile got very weak 4G

palm oil estates .... outstation go with celcom digi bhd.

been using yes5g since last year. so far memang berpuas hati. but as other people complain. some underground.. inbuilding.. coverage sometimes sketchy.
I do have Yoodo backup sim in sim 2 tho for those occasions

but mainly yes served me well over 95% of my monthly requirement.
the nice thing about yes is
1. RM25 monthly for no fup and unlimited call
2. all day all night 5G speed ( no-nonsense weekend / hourly 5G pass )
3. quite good coverage even for road trip on major roads and even some far out-of-town areas.
*
downside is yes unlimited haram to use with modem

umobile gx38 still exist. better than u40. minus 5G
12mbps 999gb fup vs 6mbps 100gb fup + 512kbps unlimiited

They are just starting the integration and it will take 2 to 3 years. Unless you are at their trial sites which are Sitawan, Rawang, Bercham, Port Dickson and Kuantan

Prior to the pilots, customers nationwide were already enjoying an improved coverage experience from close to 400 MOCN sites activated to-date. These MOCN sites were activated as an immediate benefit of closing the merger. These quick-win sites were located near office premises and respective Celcom bluecubes and Digi Stores across the country, as well as in other strategic locations.

https://corporate.celcomdigi.com/news/celco...digital-network

nationwide some place MOCN celcom digi site.
digi 50219
celcom 50216
Plus JENDELA MOCN site, mostly celcom-digi-maxis

Saviour-V reporting in.

Was thinking about switching up to the MEGA 128 Lightning plan from my current MEGA plan.

As of right now, my monthly fee for the MEGA plan (40 GB) is RM 80.00, while my current M Pass (10 GB) costs RM 18.00. These are subject to the usual 6% SST.

So, assuming I don't go overboard, the total amount I usually pay per month is RM 107.88, before rounding-up to RM 107.90. (Going overboard usually means calling toll-free numbers or subscribing to any services that cost extra)

Finances are a bit tight for me at the moment, but my current phone is showing its age, and I'm wondering if the phone they're offering is better than my current Vivo Y11.

So, can anyone help me a little bit, please? I really would appreciate the help.

Thanks!

Saviour-V out.
*
me stop at "MEGAâ„¢ 80 40GB Lightning Internet'
not fan of celcom.

digi give more data with less price
Digi Postpaid 60 50GB RM60 per month
Celcom MEGAâ„¢ 80 "40GB Lightning Internet" RM80 per month

Finances are a bit tight > change to prepaid
with money you save can buy new phone from sopie offical store. no contract. peace of mind

On my current plan, the "unlimited calls" bit doesn't apply to 1300 numbers, which include the ones for banks and other hotlines. Some of my slightly higher bills come from being stuck holding the phone for a long period of time while waiting for the customer service representatives to get back to me.

Hope that clarifies things.

Saviour-V out.

ok, thanks for your suggestion. 1k is a lot for a modem  rclxub.gif
looks like other alternative is Yes.
I'm still thinking either want to stick with my umobile p99 or change to other wireless broadband.
*
no need buy new modem if u already have 4G one
or use spare smartphone as a modem
5G modem cpe price will drop over time

unisoc 5G RM6xx, cheaper than huawei 4G B618-65
mediatek 5G RM1k , promo raya end
snadragon / balong hilink

device bundle with contract or sim only no contract is your choice

What I had in mind: -
1. Main: Digi Next 35 30gb, Work: Hotlink Pantas 40/75gb. Total cost: rm 70/80
2. Main: Hotlink Pantas 20gb, Work: Digi Next 35 30gb. Total cost: rm 60

Both plans have unlimited calls which I think is redundant but a benefit I am willing to pay for. My only main concern would be whatsapp/telegram data usage would be heavy for my work phone. 5g not really my concern as 4g speed is enough for my usage coupled with from what I've gathered 5g drains batter more. the line just need to be stable and throughout my search, maxis/celcom/digi seems to be better for the area I mainly will be which includes Subang Jaya/Klang/Selangor/KL. Hence, what I had in mind.

I am open to any suggestions/thoughts/alternatives. Thank you.
*
why both plan need data ?
My suggestions
main sim + data = digi next unlimited 40. 999gb + unlimited call. RM40/month

backup data = uni5G bebas + data never expire. . As long dont do speed test or video data will last
uni5g now can use maxis network. last week maxis got problem but uni5G with maxis no problem

@hjh87
being use digi since 3G
coverage / speed /price are good
now my kampong got MOCN tower. Digi sometime turn off band 1 3 during early morning until next day to save power. trigger by network load or whatever.

was looking at redone 8 or onexox 10, but unfortunately both are small time telco. had a bad experience with small telco previously, closed down without giving an option to port out. mcmc also just sided with them and the number gone forever. it was crazy.
*
redONE and Tune Talk is mvno control by celcomdigi
redONE ceo is ex Tune Talk ceo
dont think will closed anytime soon

onexox busy with sport
Perak fc ceo is onexox ceo
onexox tkkr rider always going podium position but media focus on jdt hafiz

May I know which prepaid telco is better for sporadic days usage in a month? Say out of 30 days, I may only need to use data for 10-15 days only. Xox or UnifiMobile perhaps? If xox will need additional rm25 to keep it valid annually while UnifiM doesn't right? Im thinking of Digi Next15 initially because i have an legacy digi prepaid however it seems digi next15 is overkill plus rm38 SLL is not known to be offered always.
