Currently on celcom postpaid with no data plan, monthly call around 200 minutes, paying RM60++, thinking of switching to a plan with data and considering UMI38, is there any other plan that i can look into ?

Hi, I'm currently torn between using maxis or celcom. basically i dont make much calls, so i just want some data plan. 1gb will do.

I want to know how is the coverage between maxis and celcom? data wise and call wise.

and also the coverage within klang valley and other states. Thanks.

Maxis 3G coverage good at main town and main road area. Kampong in the middle of nowhere no 3G. To be suprise celcom 3G and digi 3G doing better at kampong place.

Cheapest 1GB data is Digi 1MNP RM18 for 1GB.

Thanks for feedback. 1MNP sure is very interesting but I would prefer to have a postpaid. Don't want to have the risk of losing my number. :/

I'm planning to switch to postpaid with device plan with UMobile in January.
1. Assuming the device is priced RM1000 with Umobile's RM138 postpaid plan with no upfront payment, how much would I actually need to pay per month if it is on a 1 year basis?

2. Is it possible to settle the phone price immediately so that I don't have to pay more every month?

3. Is it worth it to purchase a smartphone with the postpaid plan or is it better to just purchase it separately?

Free Internet

You will enjoy free internet upon top up of the following denominations:
Top Up  Free Internet (MB)  Free Internet Validity
    RM30  30  30 days
    RM50  50  30 days
    RM100  100  30 days

Minimum top up to enjoy the free internet is RM30. If you top up below the threshold stated in the table above, you will only get to enjoy the free internet entitlement of the lower denomination. For example, if you top up RM49, you will only get to enjoy the RM30 entitlement which is 30MB, instead of the RM50 entitlement.
After you have exhausted the free internet quota, you will be charged at the standard pay per use rate of RM0.20/MB.
Free internet can be utilized for all browsing and social messaging needs.
Any unused free internet will be forfeited at 11:59pm on the day of expiry.
