o o.. finally found someone using pp2 for stock myvi rim.. may i know how much n where u bought it? and, does that diff tire size affect ur speedo reading, u got redo the speedo?
the primacy is towards comfort ar bro? does it has the ori size for myvi?

so if i sum up is..

comfort-wise:
primacy> pp2> xm1

handling:
pp2> primacy> xm1

thread wear? and may i know how does falken 912 fits into the comparison?

thanks a lot biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
*
comfort should be Xm1 first in my opinion, PP2 is more to handling

Ze912 should be on par with Xm1

QUOTE(x3oNv3 @ Jun 25 2009, 07:04 PM)
i bought 4 pp2 from kim heng michelin tire center at sunway for rm195 each, it includes free balancing, alignment and 4 new tyre valve. the manager there is friendly but just becareful of the staff there, they might try to chop you on camber nuts for RM55 each tire at the front, myvi stock rims/tires normally doesn't need camber nuts.

this 185/60/14 size very hard to find, you have to scout around. the speedo meter didn't change much, just +/- <1% faster only based on my gps speed reading. use the tire calculator to count before you change, but for pp2 14" size, there is only one size.
*
185/60R14 is quite easy to find, but good tires at that size is not much, at least not much when compare with 195/55R15

QUOTE(Haru@Glory @ Jun 25 2009, 08:26 PM)
Any Toyo T1R 195/55 or 195/50 R15 here??? Where got sell at KL and da price??
*
if you are not into performance driving or track driving, i recommend you dont go for toyo tires, their tires are good, good grip in both wet and dry depends on the tires, but their tires dont last long, but the grip it provide are superior, and it doesn't come with cheap price, 15" should be ranging from RM250+

hi, can u show more price list
*
if you want more you can try google, but you will get roughly the same list as the first page, and it is already very sufficient for your usage since the price of tires are almost the same

Added on June 27, 2009, 2:17 pmi think i have to accept the fact that Ze912 shoulder wear and tear is abit faster than the center, maybe is due to the curve at the sidewall there, unlike PP2 where the sidewall is almost 90 degree to the road contact surface

175/60/14 hankook blackbird V2 (replacement for Ventus V8 RS) is RM150pp with trade in and alignment and balancing at tek ming sunway.
*
how is the performance? any review? hmm.gif

QUOTE(keithmin @ Jun 30 2009, 05:48 PM)
but i wan 185/60R15 wor...is this measurement abnormal ? coz i only see 185/55R15, 195/55R15 or 195/60R15 only...
*
185/60R15 is an odd tire size, for wider range of tires to choose, we will recommend you to use 195/55R15 or 195/50R15.

thanks all for the reply.

pp2 is in my list last time but the thread line is not as good as those performance type .

haha as hankook rs2 really look nice thread line.

yes i more into cornering~  so compare pp2 and hankook rs2 which 1 better? who ever try this two on cornerin before?

parada spec 2 really can bring u to hell~ for drifter really is not bad tyre haha .
i pump 255 pressure cuz that wanna make the side wall more harder.
but it does work well but then the tyre just dont like to bite the road much.
brand new of this tire does work very well but u spend it 30% after the tire just suck after that.
*
PP2 is consider performance tires, stiff and firm sidewall, good for cornering

most of the tires have soft sidewall, unless is some performance tires, because normal tires are aim for comfort, pump more pressure to the tires doesn't make the sidewall stiffer, it is still soft, and you will overinflated your tires and causes it to lose grip, under extreme cornering or rainy day your tires will skid...

Hi guys, I've a tyre size of 185/65R15. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've checked around the tyre shop and was told that they have limited type of tyre for this size.

Any advise on where I can get a good Micheline/Bridgestone tyre that have this size? I think going back to Nissan should cost more to replace the same tyre outside.
*
odd tire size, i suggest you to upgrade to 195/55R15 if you want more tires to choose from.

i dont recommend you to go back to service center for tire replacement as they are not good in this things, most of them will just use back the OEM tires, which are not very good.

but some people believe that the alignment and balancing machine in the service center are very accurate doh.gif

Michelin XM1  is very noisy. Being using it like 3.5 years like 78,000km liau, I think u must pump air every week to enable it to last long. Going got CC1 for lesser noise.
*
3.5 years is time to change lar, recommendation time to change is every 3 years, dont risk yourself.

I just saw Goodyear launch their new product Duraplus which can last for 100,000km. is it a good tyre? What is the price for 195/60/R15 for waja?

Any recommend for 195/60/R15 for waja? I need quiet only others doesnt matter. smile.gif Thanks for help!
*
see only also know no good lar

long lasting tires = harder rubber = lesser grip = noisy

only good for taxi driver lar since they drive so slow and the tires can last so long

I feel those 2 are the worse quality brand.

hmmm..i see...thanks..but michelin primacy heard is comfort tires and when do fast cornering tend to flex alot??? hmm.gif  .....my stock conti cc1 use around 50% and now when 100-130km steering vibrates d....ish....and its due to uneven rotation "jumping"....so planning to change front tires..la...and i travel highway most of the time, and the vibration really disturbing...
*
high profile tires sure will have a lot of flex when cornering

if you got steering vibrate from 100-130km/h, maybe is your balancing got problem already, last time i go 130km/h got steering vibrate, after doing the alignment balancing + rotation no more vibrate even i whack to 150km/h

hi there

i'm new posting in this thread. im driving myvi 1.3 with all standard.my left back tire just blown while i'm driving at 140km/h ayer keroh hway around 2pm..i believed it's due to over pressure on tire coz last 2 days i just pumped it, and 2 days exposed to open area and didnt use. luckily at my left and right was no car. at the very desperate time, i changed to spare tire and drive back to KL for about 100km using the spare tire till reach sg buloh and changed tire to SILVERSTONE 175R14 at RM130/piece? at that time for that size only got sime and the silverstone (same price)

the story was long, actually i just want to ask, does the price consider cheap, ok2, or expensive?
*
if the silverstone tire you see is that price, then you better consider top up a bit more for falken Ze912 185/60R14, price see front page.

guys,

Between Toyo T1R , Yokohama S drive or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3,

which one has better dry grip?

For spirited driving/hard driving.

Noise is not an issue.

Can some1 also indicate the price for Yokohama S drive(still got new right?) and Goodyear for size 195/55/15.
*
toyo T1R, if you can pay the price.
