*
QUOTE(ngwei2402 @ Apr 9 2010, 12:11 AM)
today went a tire shop at cheras
repair my 4rims(bengkok d) then 4 new my01(195/50/15)
include install he say RM920, this price consider ok?

i ask him about c-drive, he say my01 better cornering n more tahan then c-drive, really?
*
haha... more tahan and better cornering but not the grip tongue.gif
MY-01 is low grade tire for Asean la... I duno u can really find a performance tire with Traction rated at B only sweat.gif even some entry level tires is rated better in traction than it...

that is ok if includes rim repair but if only tires and installation (Balancing, Alignment and Valves) it is expensive... my can buy better tires with that price...

both different category... C Drive is Comfort Performance sure cannot beat T1R in UHP category... C Drive more comfort then performance but T1R is the opposite, so ur choice...
if you don mind Hankook V12 (UHP also good slightly better than T1R but cheaper also... smile.gif Toyo C1S for comfort also ok...

QUOTE(halfpeace1 @ Apr 18 2010, 12:14 AM)
guys..
im juz new fren here.. need ur help to recommend for me tyres price between 200-400, for my
R17/45/215 last check out hancook v8 RM320 & silverstone evol IIIV RM270. Cannot find yokohama or goodyear, pls anybody can help???!!!
notworthy.gif
*
GY F1 Asymmetric is around RM400 only, good comfort Max tire... Silverstone ok ok la... Hankook if you wanna try V12 Evo newer than V8RS.... if not u can get Nexen 8000 series... smile.gif

215/45/R17
Yokohama S-Drive - RM390 Hup Shun Sunway (Dec 2008)
Falken ZIEX-912 - RM 320 Euro Zone Dataran Sunway (April09)
Falken Azenis ST115 - RM360 Stamford Tyre, Shah Alam (Dec 2008)
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo (korea) RM330 @ Tek Ming Sunway Dec 2009
Toyo C1S - RM430 (May09) ,Ed tyres S.Alam Treadwear 300,AA,A
Federal 595 Evo RM 285 @ GoodWood Tyre Service, Klang March 2010
Bridgestone Re-001 (japan) RM420 @ Apex Tyre Sunway Dec 2009

Goodyear F1 GSD-3 (thai) RM350 @ Tek Ming Dec 2009
Goodyear F1 Asy (china) RM385 @ Pusat Tayar Klang, Kota Kemuning Dec 2009
Goodyear F1 Asy (china) RM380 @ Ban Hooi Klang Dec 2009
Goodyear F1 Asy- RM380 inclusive balancing & alignment, Quicksave Feb 2010

those tire in the price list is recommended and it will be much better than Silverstone Evol... they said GY F1 is the best Max performance tires with comfort then the other comfort is Hankook V12 (Ultra High Performance) and also Toyo C1S & Falken 912 (comfort performance only)... others is more like Performance tires with directional thread which is not that quiet, if you care about this, but mostly ppl which had 17" does not... haha

Hi everyone.....do anyone hv the phone number of the shop at klang area that selling cheap/affordable tyres?  who know the price of this 2 tyre brand? i'm finding 205/40/17 yokohama A drive R1 or Falken ZE 912. Or any recommendation?
*
there is some contacts at the 1st page... u can just call them up... smile.gif
205/40 R17 is quite common but the 2 tires that u are talking about is entry performance smile.gif

QUOTE(ngwei2402 @ Apr 20 2010, 02:09 AM)
went malacca today, n asked about the tyre price
4 new falken912 195/50/15,plus 4 new rims,plus install=RM900
i think quite ok rite? considering....

the boss said charge me 140++ for 912
if my01 around 160++
so if i choose my01, maybe about RM1000

he also said compare 912 with my01, maybe 912 faster finish
but he said bridgestone east qi3 pao4 oo...dunno true o not
then cdrive 195/50/15 he no stock, zzz
*
MY01 can throw away as it's traction is not that good as the thread looks like, Traction only rated at B but Falken 912 is A rated...
140++ for 912 is quite ok but 160++ for MY-01 is not worth the penny at all...

QUOTE(Dickong @ Apr 20 2010, 09:48 PM)
My tyre groove left 40-45%, the made origin maybe printed on the other side of the tyre, will try to find it tomorrow
*
well it is printed at the side wall Made in Thailand... rated Threadwear 320 Traction AA Temperature A...
as for the tire pressure (I assume u are driving Vios S or G spec), please look at ur driver door B Pillar tire pressure tag and put 1~2 PSI more than the recommended pressure... i duno whether it is a lil hard for you but it works for my Vios '05 (non-facelift), mine 34 PSI in front and 32 PSI at rear (Cold Temperature)... please add in another 2 PSI if you travel more than 1km to ur nearest point to refill ur tire pressure, that is recommended by Tire manufacturer (the recommended by Car manufacturer is for cold temperature only)... tell the tire shop u want that pressure, if not they will only put 32 PSI for you all round which i feel the front a lil soft...

QUOTE(jackie13 @ Apr 21 2010, 12:56 AM)
Anyone know which shop I can get the best price for Michelin PS3 205/50R16 in PJ, Puchong, Sunway or Rawang?
*

Bro..! Thanks...
I juz checked tyre shop nearby...so the list stock avail rr..
Hankook V8rs = 320
Falken Ziex = 310
Bridgestone my-01 = 320
yoko (donno wat model) = 330

which one u recommended bro...
*
what you want... comfort or handling??? u cannot have both at the same time... Falken Ziex what Model??? 912 or 522??? skip MY-01 by all means, it does not give you the grip like others at all
Yokohama also have a few models... if you can find Hankook V12 Evo

haha... i'm no expert, only normal drive whom prefer to have better tires on the ride better than regret next time...

AD07 user then PS3 should be better lo... both is max tire but PS3 is more supreme in wet but dry might lose to AD07...both of them in the same league... but if you down grade to C Drive then u might have grip problem lo.... cos it is Comfort tires not performance tire... smile.gif
if the PS3 price is without alignment it is ok ok... as long as not over that price... if a package including everything then ok mah... i also bought RM230 for 4 pcs in Paramount PJ... smile.gif Klang some place selling RM210~240 with/without alignment, PJ around RM230~250 with Alignment...

Got mine ps3 for RM230/pc plus alignment, balancing n steel valve 3 days ago. Very happy with it becos quiet n confort but a little too hard but might release my tire pressure by 2 psi becos over inflated.
*
2 PSI is a lil too much i think try to use Manufacturing pressure 1st... smile.gif

QUOTE(iRonTech @ Apr 23 2010, 06:25 PM)
michael9413 / Dickong / whoever using ps2/ps3

ps2/ps3 wear fast? compare to AD07. very newbie on Michelin tyre sweat.gif
*
wear rate is still very hard to say coz PS3 just launched early March only... haha but look at the threadwear it surely last longer than AD07

QUOTE(yngwie @ Apr 23 2010, 07:39 PM)
was  using most of the yokohama range since 1st ride; c.drive, s.drive, ar.d1 ad07 and dna range.
upon reading the good review on ps3, bought a pair of 245/45/r15 ps3 for the rear a few weeks back.
all i can say is the ps3 simply awesome! good overall grip and traction. twin pot aside, i feel like the ps3 improves the braking as well.
my only complaint was the soft looking tread  tongue.gif

btw, as a comparison, ps3's tread wear rated at 320 while ad07 at 180. gy f1 asy rated at 240 and adrenalin at 220 if am not mistaken.
so, you do the math  brows.gif
*
well look at the threadwear it looks very durable for a max category tires... but PS3 is Michelin flagship tire and it is truely awesome compare with Michelin PP2, Hankook V12 Evo that i used previously... smile.gif

QUOTE(Rascal Stitch @ Apr 23 2010, 08:16 PM)
if u dowan him to grumble then jus spot posting here instead cuz reading back all those post seems more like u're happily discussing in here instead of jus dropping pricelist~
*
well look who is giving out the pricelist.... duh... u guys did not update it...

yes i'm hapily discussing things over here... but i really hope that u all divert those question to tire discussion thread...
