go to youtube
search for these 2 channels:

1) justinguitar
2) rockongoodpeople

highly recommended. if you're starting out on an acoustic, they have acoustic chord strumming lessons. which i feel is what beginners should learn 1st.

hope this helps

note that while learning online is free and sort i do suggest a guide a better friend or someething to guide you on.

cause being an online learner too ,i didnt learn a lot of things the proper way and till now my knowledge is in pockets scattered around my brain. also i never understood the use of certain items/techniques untill someone made a point to correct me (teacher). although a teacher is not essential but if you intend to do so, a personal guide will help you a lot.

Start from scratch.Look up for simple chords such as G E Em A and stuff then slowly go to www.ultimate-guitar.com for lessons or just go for how to hold a guitar, pick and etc and slow you'll be able to play it.

And do expect finger pain, blister and etc.It is normal so yea even those person who you consider guitar god or whatever also went through all of this.Playing guitar doesn't come naturally it comes with great sacrifice. All the best biggrin.gif
