I still cant figure out why we get the force shutdown message. Which application do u think that caused it? Or izzit the normal behavior of Win7?

Always pops out or only sometimes?
Coz I do get it sometimes when I shut down my Windows 7 in my desktop.

A lot of features in Win7 Ultimate is actually for those directors who manage two or more office and most applications in Win 7 Ultimate is more suited for businessman.
if its really annoying, then try recover your laptop.

Boot up ur VAIO > Spam "F10" key > "Restore complete system"

or

Press "Start" > Type "Vaio Recovery Center" > Select "Restore complete system"

Back up ur data first oh.

Some models requires only three like the SR55. Some requires four. Just prepare four pieces.

I never said it was useless to normal users.

I never said you need to be a businessman to use Win7 Ultimate.

Since you have softwares from the stoneage, then by all means go ahead for Ultimate since you'll need the XP Mode to run those softwares.
Kapersky is a very popular alternative, alongside with Avira. Make sure to completely remove McAfee before installing or else you'll encounter errors.

the bottom line is, you cant catch up with technology. just be happy with what you have. my Z gonna be serve me for 3 years at least before i decide for new one. the new model sure is always there but my wild guess those new line up will be officially available for consumer around Q2/2010 or Q3. so thats a long wait if you have to do. not to mention that Sony Malaysia always get new stuff late..so yeah.

Before you're selling off your RM4499 FW, ask yourself this,

are you willing to fork out RM7,999 for the Vaio F?

I haven't really start using it since I haven't create recovery disc, afraid something bad might happen to it

What model are you using right now? How's your Vaio treating you? 

I tried mine on Sunday actually.
With the standard lithium ion 6 cell battery I could fetch about 1hr 30 mins playing Facebook and Football Manager 2010.
When its fully charged it indicates 2hrs 28 mins.
Gonna try again with minimal usage.

I've bought DVD-R, planning to create the recovery disc. However, because I did not create the recovery disc immediately after I brought it home, I would like to restore everything back to it's original condition, like how the Sony Style give it to me before creating the recovery disc. Do you guys have any idea on how to restore it back?

Another thing, I've attached 2 pictures. As you can see, the desktop of the show units in Sony Style/Centre are as the attachment2. However sometimes, my desktop showed as attachment1. I've circled the difference between attachment 1 and attachment 2. Do you guys have any idea why is it like that?

Oh, by the way, is it okay for my one-week old laptop to produce some soft sound (but you'll be able to hear it) when your laptop is switched on? It's like "z z z" sound.
