cuz i overheard one customer and the sony guy at the store where the customer ask bout the benefits,discount and that other ppl ( online or ebay i assume ) is selling much cheaper. and the sony guy said. he cant guarantee if the warranty will be valid in australia etc etc. and he also said to the customer.never know its stolen etc etc ( duno the sony guy sengaja want pijak other sellers or what ) ....
