Found link to this thread after I read the recent scam story.. wonder why I did not found here earlier. I was one of the victim too! My place of 'incident' is in KL sentral opposite monorail to be exact. Everything written here is happened to me, with the so called 'government tax' and in the end won the mattress. What I remembered the most is the 'student' told me she would help me sell the mattress if I couldnt sell it myself within 2 days. I did not lodge any police report because I was too scared at that time. Plus I'm just a student who came to malaysia to study and live alone here while my parents are back in my hometown.

I know this is not something to be happy about but I'm glad I found this thread where I could share some info to warn other people about those scammer..

if they gave you some products, or some proof of payment like receipt, report to the consumer tribunal.

they will help you to get the refund.

call and ask them for details.

how come they cannot talk in chinese.sian.. still got in kereta bersepadu

not too sure, may be they used to speak in canto or something hmm.gif i got met some who can speak chinese.

anyway, there was one time when our college fren bring this to the consumer tribunal and manage to get back the money, they ask the people working there why no body arrest them? it was because they can refund, just like other company if you are not satisfied and challenge them in the consumer tribunal, if you win and they refund you, case close, they continue business. Some people actually think those stuffs they got worth the money, so we can't be telling the authority to just go and shut them down. sweat.gif

anyway you mentioned the 7k and car, if you don't take the car why you sign the insurance and tax? it doesn't make sense. which company offer it?
