I know Capcom spent countless hours ensuring that all the fighters are as balanced as possible, but you still can't help feeling that some of them are just plain sh!te *Dhalsim...cough cough*. I could be wrong though. Maybe some of the characters are friggin good, but it's just me who sucks at using them...lol. That's what this poll is basically for.

No surprises there eh. Ken's trademark Dragon Punch, easy-to-pull-off combos and versatile super combos make him deadly no matter who is controlling him

Shun Goku Satsu.

I don't like the previous game's version of Shun Goku Satsu, but using Akuma in SF4, his ultra Shun Goku Satsu came out really fast... T_T

but the downside is that this old bugger is having a wayy to much low on life. I think it's safe if we call Akuma a low life hahahah..

ryu for ease of chaining attacks.. his moves can easily be cancelled and chained to another one.

C.viper~ ftw , cool ground move , nice burning flame kick and fast electric thunder punch!

Akak Kemy(Cammy)

always prefer KEN over RYU although kinda similar character/moves

-yellow hair / red clothing
-dragon punch with fire

ocassionaly, i like to use BISON for his quick/deadly moves

I prefer Akuma because his Super and Ultra are easy to do for me compare to the other characters.

Ryu has the fastest shoryuken respond,nobody can get past if jump 2wards me hehehe.

Cammy, 1st choice.
Her move is unpredictable and swift.

Next Chun Li.

Cool. Until now I haven't come across any opponents in XBL who uses Cammy. Should be interesting to play against her

i remember playing SFzero2 on the PSX and there was a Gouki mode izit available in saturn? U get to fight the super akuma damn hard

i remember b4 when i bought street fighter zero2 for psx its ahem2 ya,it came with 2 disc street fighter2 and zero2 in zero 2 when we select either arcade,vs,survival there is an added mode which u dont need to unlock its gouki mode where u can challenge the ultimate super gouki which can do double hadoken in air and very fast fighting respond,he wears a violet outfit.I dont seem to find this gouki feature in the latest street fighter anthology and also the japanese version of anthology.

I just read that one of our recently concluded local PS3 Street Fighter IV tournaments had a ruling saying that Seth cant be used. Any idea why? Is it because that character has some unfair advantage? Coz if he does, heck I'm gonna start training to use Seth man...hahah

seth has many advantages 2wards other fighters example he has sonic boom+ double and shoryuken which has lotsa hits and his super is really frustrating to avoid and counter.

funny thing that I love new character Abel cos he got no flame ball or super power to throw, only with super judo mad skills

Ryu! Nostalgic reasons I guess, this is followed closely by Akuma, then Sagat (even though I'm just average when playing him)

Chun-li is the most versatile IMO.

High Priority pokes in the air and on ground. Fast throw, not to mention an ultra that punishes projectile characters with a vengeance... haha...

Also, most of the time put on her alternate dress (white preferred) and the opponent is totally distracted by her exposed skin. hahaha.... Kena hit by ultra also, they dont mind...

Ryu? Obvious reasons.

Crimson Viper is Hawt!
Skills and Combo moves are easy to pull, the way she does skills are sooo beautiful..
Basically, it's easy using her to go againts High-level AI/opponent.

Easy combos, good pokes and also easy to link combos into Ultra

Heck, his EX Shoryuken is damn godly XD Even Ken's Ultra can't beat it

Just to even things out a little, my favourite character to play in SFIV is E. Honda. No, really it is! Most of my online matches are won with him. 2nd backup character is Vega, since he can be a bit unpredictable.

So put there characters that you hate to fight against to
Mine would be Zangief, Blanka & Dhalsim

Blanka is quite strong. I can kick ryu/ken (human player) butts anytime with it

Hmm looks like people are still shotoken fans. The 4 popular choices here are fireball and dragon punch characters, aka shotos.

I started become her fan after she beat both my spiderman and ken in Marvel Super Heroes arcade ver. and I even didnt know that she is from SF at that time.After that I use her quite often in SF alpha series and I even bought her 2 volume manga.Sumtimes I used her in Rival School 1 and 2.Plus I like her moves in Pocket Fighter coz she can become a miko(shinto priestess), wearing p.e. uniform and become cheer leader.
But I seldom use her in SF 4 because her abugid distance is to damn short compared to her appearance in other capcom's franchise game.

Yeah, her hadouken is short especially charged ones. And the execution time for it is just slow. Oh well

Btw, anyway to configure the character exclusive soundtrack to be played instead of the stage soundtrack when playing versus?

It seems no one voted for fei long. I like to used it. Not that he is strong or super duper fast, but his move is cool to watch.

Like others mention before...
If I win the game with Guile, i am darn good in SF4.
If I lose the game with Guile, nah.....it just that Guile is not an easy character to play with.

My favourite would be Abel,Dan & Cammy

I have difficult time use Abel defeat Zangief though
