Just got back from tokyo recently. I bought a prepaid phone from softbank to use while in tokyo. They only offered two models and I bought the flip one 821SC model.

I want to ask all senpai n sifus if this model can use hypersim or bbsim or any other bypass sim. Most probably I dont have to buy media unlocked sim right?

Im not sure myself. How do we check if it is media lock or not?
I can send email, watch tv and use camera when was in tokyo.

I have a very old 821sc softbank phone. Got it in 2009 when visiting tokyo and still active. Occasionally pass around with friends and top up the phone

Anyhow, is there any jphone unlocking service here in malaysia? I found out that this phone can already be unlocked. Buying the unlocking box is a bit overkill since I only need to unlock this phone.

Any help is awesome and thanks
