Hi guys, anyone own a Sharp Aquos SH-12C here?

My friend will be coming back from Japan at the end of this month, thinking of getting one but can it be use here in Malaysia? is it unlocked?

If I use the hypersim, can I enable all the necessary calling and sms features? and will there be an English language for the phone (for menus)?

Thank you.

i'm looking for jphone too, could you ask your friend to help me buy jphone if possible, thanks =)

if no mistaken, only docomo phone can be unlocked, and the fee is around 3000yen
if use hypersim line will become not stable, but still can call and sms =)

I read that the SH-12C don't need to be unlocked and use hypersim, it can function normally here excludes the features that only exclusive in Japan like the NFC.

What model of phone that you are eyeing on? Can you give me the link? My friend usually bought it from yahoo auction japan, so it'll be easier if you can select from that site, though most of them are 2nd hand, i'll be buying a 2nd hand SH-12C from that site too biggrin.gif

Hi guys, I have a Docomo SH-12C and it is unlocked, but the problem is, it can detect the line but fail to register it.

Found this -> http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php...k-with-AT-amp-T (read post no. 5)

is it applicable in Malaysia as the site is in the US?

if yes, can someone lend me his/her hypersim to help me completing the unlock process.

Thank you.

For what model? My friend just helped me to unlock my SH-12C last week before he comes back to Malaysia.

The price is 3150 yen

P/S: still looking to borrow a hypersim to make a phone call from my phone to complete the unlock mechanism, my friend forgot to do so, btw, what's the lowest price of a hypersim? any recommended sellers?

Thank you.

Anyone tried to unlock in japan and bring back msia to use?..
mean after unlock i no need to use the hypersim anymore..

After you unlock the phone at the shop, make sure you make a call using that phone to fully unlock it (for Docomo at least), my friend forgot to do that, now I'm stuck with an unusable phone, but fortunately my sister will be going to Japan this thursday, so I can pass it back to my friend to unlock it completely biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Will report back if the process is successful, my phone is SH-12C btw smile.gif
