Broadband provider
ISP/package: UNIFI VIP5 (upgrade from Streamyx 1mb)
Location: Puchong Jaya
Have you called your ISP's helpline?:

Personal equipment
Modem: DLink DIR615 (provide & install by tm)
Router:
Firewall used: not sure

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Since installation 1 week ago.
Problem frequency:
Problem description:

I have upgraded from streamyx to UNIFI under a promotion. Tested Hypp TV, youtube, laptop (wifi) Everything works perferctly fine. ONLY ipads & Iphone have problem... loading is very slow and many photos will fail to load after a few minutes and only display "?" sign. Usually about 20-30% photos wont able to load. Tested using PPS on ipad work flawlessly.

I have googled around And play around with the modem setting.. Changing bandwidth to 20hz instead of 20/40, Changing to different wireless mode, 802.11 mix, n only, g&b. Tried every kind of combo but still the same problem.

Need help in finding the solution here... gf mengamuk already cause she using ipad 90% of the time , while im using laptop most of d time (without problem).

Should I just get a new modem? Since I find the cheap free modem provided by TM always has all kind of problem. Please share with me what modem can I get to replace the DIR615.

THanks! notworthy.gif

Yes. I have the same issue as yours.

Call unifi and ask them to change the DLink firmware 7.12 for you. They usually change the whole thing.

For "Apple" devices, u have this issues when DLink is running on 7.13 firmware.

Everything just load half way on iPad, iPhone and MacOS.

Hope this will help you out.

Thanks! good to hear im not alone. I will check if the firmware is 7.12 or 7.13.. then will ask them to change for me.

So after they update to 7.13 you wont have such problem anymore with APPLE devices?

its a dns issue

dlink 615 works better when u reserve the ip addresses for each devices and set manually the dns on the router and the device

That sounds like a lot of work to be done? one ip address for each devices? damn. If I get a new better modem than the 615 will it be more user friendly( & trouble free?)

I guess your firmware is 7.13 cause you just installed.

Now, what you need is to downgrade it to 7.12. Call Unifi, cut short the progress, ask them change your DLink which is running on 7.12 firmware.

Now what you experiencing is, YouTube is okay, but Facebook load half way, some pictures gone missing and keep on loading but nothing is loading?
