i dont think that it is really that bad. One someone saying cps is not good on waja, i beg to differ. Test drive waja n gen2 cps first then can comment.
Cps on exora is not powerful but adequate enough. For manual cant climb parking park with full load is quite confusing since many exorian(eocm) dont have any problem.
It just that u need to maintain 1st gear at 3k rpm shud be enough for full load on parking park.
I believe more than 50 exos go uphill genting with full load n luggage without any problem. On par with alza with full load base on my experience. Avanza 1.5 is better but only marginal but hey,its better than 1.3 avanza which really rare to hear any complaint on avanza 1.3 performance.
By the way, fd ration on exora is lower than in waja cps@gen2 cps to cater the low end torque demand.
In a car, u still can use 2nd gear coz it only can occupy 5 occupant, but in exora full load,it is 7,so if u put 2 more occupants in a car,it will suffer the same condition.
Just maintain first gear at 3k rpm,u r ok. No need to slot to 2nd. If not, just ramp until 4k rpm n slot to 2nd gear n maintain around 2.5k rpm, only apply if full load, n that consider high speed for uphill parking lot at around 30 to 40 kmh. For auto, just slot 3 (off overdrive mode) or L for low gear(1st gear).
It still not powerful, but adequate. If u want more power, wait for exora fl that equip with iafm+ engine(there are rumours though) that equip with cvt n getrag manual trans or if not enough, opt for cfe cvt turbo, then,u can drive fast uphill parking ramp since already generate 205nm at 2k rpm, which is as powerful as 2.4 n/a engine torque at 2k rpm or maybe better then the latter.
