Found a neat little app that will display the time in every screen. The software is called FreeTimeBox. You can read the review here(http://www.e71fanatics.com/2009/04/what-time-is-it-get-clock-anywhere-just.html)

I have updated my firmware to the latest. So far from what i felt is that the battery now drain much faster than the old firmware. Will monitor for the next few days.
