QUOTE(-milo- @ Apr 15 2009, 10:47 PM) hi guys i have a problem..hope u guys can help here.. normally after using the phone for more than a day,i would not be able to go to my menu..whenever i press the 'menu' or home button, the menu would not show up, instead it will be at the stand by screen..i wont be able to do anything until i click the red phone button which will 'take me back' to the stand by screen..i can still lock my keypads even though the menu doesn't show..the problem can be solved after i restart the phone..but it gets annoying when i need to restart the phone every day.. i hope someone here understand wat im saying up there n give me some help..thanks alot.. I know exactly what you mean...I faced this issue twice already. hope after the firmware update I did yesterday, no more of this issue. Heck, it was because of reliability issues with Nokia phones back in 2004 that made me switch to SE phones (I bought 4 SE phones), which never gave me any issues. I hope I didn't make a mistake again going back to Nokia. This post has been edited by DinKnight: Apr 15 2009, 11:16 PM

QUOTE(@eMiLy @ Apr 24 2009, 09:58 PM) Solution below provided by Thrust (so far so good). Thanks bro * The temporary way to solve the menu freeze problem is not to unassign the menu function on the left tab of your phone. This is because menu at left tab tends to cause random conflict with them HOME key which can also access the menu function. Hi, I really have to thank you for this great tip. Before I did the change of the left-tab key shortcut from Menu to something else, the E71 won't go to the menu and freeze 6 times in the space of 2 days. Ever since I made the change, not a single freeze moment! By the way, I changed the shortcut from Menu to Clock.

i'm using maxis 50 and can still access my gmail, hotmail on this phone. if i use more than the RM50 commitement fee, each 1kb is charged at 1sen in addition to my RM50.
no problems.
difference with normal phones? E71 has a lot more buttons.

TrackID is a pretty standard program on Sony Ericssons. You point the phone at the music source for the phone to record a 5 second clip, it will send to internet and let you know what is the title and artist of the song.
i googled TrackID for Nokias and there were some hits, but i couldn't get the file. any other similar programs we can use on Nokia?

I had my E71 for about a month already. After the adjustment period and the little bugs, to the firmware update and tips and tricks I've learnt in this great forum thread, I've come to love this phone. No regrets getting the E71. Even my colleagues and bosses at work enquired about this phone when they saw me use it to efficiently send out SMS. Some even asking when I am planning to sell it off so they can buy it off me.
