can a cotton pocket square be a handkerchief? i find that cotton pocket square is too thick to be a pocket square, unlike those made of silk and linen.

QUOTE(Cheenoo @ Sep 26 2010, 03:43 PM) Where do you find cotton squares? Most I've seen are either polyester or silk.. i bought a few whilst i was in tokyo. i trust that they are available online (http://www.jpressonline.com/accessories_pocket_squares.php?page=all) and locally (try mytieshop). Added on September 27, 2010, 3:48 pmQUOTE(kotmj @ Sep 26 2010, 03:13 PM) Lokemui would love to screw you. lol i thought lokemui was exclusively yours. but seriously is there any specific measurement for cotton pocket square eg. thickness, dimension? mine are definitely thicker that the made of silk and always give me artificial man boobs whenever they are inserted into the breast pocket. QUOTE(kotmj @ Sep 28 2010, 02:16 AM) What's so bad about man boobs? Just buy some linen ones. you are right, i should have sticked to linen or silk. i was experimenting on the cotton ones but failed tremendously.

QUOTE(gshen @ Sep 28 2010, 10:33 AM) Cottons aren't all the same animal - they come in different weaves, weights, colors, patterns....etc. I actually find that my cotton squares stay up & in position quite a bit better than the lightweight linen ones. Also take into consideration the fold that you use most often. I like a simple tv fold, so most fabrics work. Puff folds are best left for lightweight silks and airy linens. IMO the ideal size is about 12", assuming your squares aren't made of 30oz corduroys. Mine keep a low profile in the pocket and certainly don't look like moobs! thanks for the insight, gshen!
