Forumer you are complaining against: ngbh & tauruskid

Item being bought:
Bought from ngbh:-
1. Notepal S collerpad
2. FM Car transmitter with controller
3. 2 x 19" screen protector

Bought from tauruskid:-
1. 1 x 12" screen protector
2. 1 x 14" screen protector

Original thread link:
For ngbh thread --->> http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=553719&hl=
For tauruskid thread --->> http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=842698&hl=

Date of transaction:
For ngbh ---> 3/4/2009
For tauruskid ---> 13/4/2009

Details of the complaint :

For ngbh
Total of my deal with ngbh for 4 items are RM170. The dispute is with the 2 screen protectors which are RM30. All items arrive safely by poslaju and I am satisfied that he send another screen protector which he forgot when he send the item the first time. However, the problem is, I only need 12" and 14" screen protector for my laptops. He claims that it can be cut to fit the desired size. But it is not true, I cut one to fit my 12" and then I realise that the adhesive to stick it on the screen is only on the side. After i cut it small, only 1 side has the adhesive and the otherside nothing. How should i be expected to stick it on? I pm him about this but till now no reply. I still have 1 more screen protector which I would prefer him to refund me RM15 and I send it back to him since I have no use for it.

For tauruskid
After those screen protector i bought from ngbh was useless, I bought another 2 from tauruskid for 12" and 14". Total purchase is RM40. Originally only RM36, I paid another RM4 as requested for shipping with courier service. What I am not happy with is when I receive news that my item was send today (14/4/2009). When I requested for tracking, I was told that it was send via normal post. How the f*ck in the world can someone be so stupid to send with normal post, if item lost, who is responsible? Thats the reason I pay more to get at least a decent courier service. I believe he should be answerable to me as I sms him but no reply at all.

To jameslee_84,

First of all, i would apologize for the mistake we've done. Also, I would like to let u know that we did not charge you for any courier service as it was stated in the post as free. And as for the notebook skin protectors, 12.1" and 14.1", they are RM20 respectively so amounting to RM40. We too gave u 2 free keypad skins for the purchase you've made.

I made a promise to you that i would send the item to you through poslaju but there was a misunderstanding with my partner who sent it through snail mail. He wanted to minimize the cost as it was overcharged according to him. No doubt we are in the wrong and I don't deny them.

If the item is damaged, we will take in all the cost and replace you with a new one using a decent courier service. We ask a favor of you to send the damaged item back and we will replace them for you after receiving the initial items. For the loss of the items, we will be accountable and we hope jameslee_84 to be courteous on his side and inform us.

Thank you.

Forgot that detail. Initially, RM5 he charge. So total RM41, but I negotiated for RM40 cos easier for me to bank in. If at that time he told me not enough, I would have topped up few ringgit for him to send me thru courier. And look at the pm he sent me, clearly indicate courier. It is misleading to promise oe thing and then send by different and cheaper method. If it has been registered post, I won't be complaining, cos RM4 is enough to use registered post already.

u are LYING tauruskid, check your own pm PROPERLY, I am not really angry initially, but u trying to put away your responsibility with a lie is making me pissed now. U declare it to be RM18, even on your thread. How can u claim it to be RM20 each now? That is such huge misrepresentation. And now u claim RM40 for both which exclude shipping? U take me for a fool or some air-head here?

Ok. He just mention cut it myself, but nothing on whether to stick on border or on screen itself. Well, even if its on border, its still impossible. If he can show me how he can cut it into 12" and still keep the adhesive on both ends of the protector, I will gladly take back my words and EAT it..... Mine is exactly the one in the pic he posted in his thread.

Bro,

Apparently there was a courier fee. Forgotten about the details. I take back my words for the earlier post.

Sorry.

Chill there, we are constantly changing the prices so I got messed up. I replied and apologised. I dont take anyone for a fool. Being here in the first place is not a pleasant thing. I'm trying to get us to a good resolution.

alrite, apology accepted, so how is it gonna be? It is no point arguing about it now, items already sent via normal post. I just want to know, if I received the package bent, dented, destroyed or didn't receive at all (LOST), are u going to be responsible now?

Sorry for the late reply, I was away. As mentioned earlier, my side will be taking the responsibility for the damages caused regardless of it being dented, bent, torn, etc. And for the lost part, we will also resend u another. But i sincerely hope that we can be honest on that part. Hold your horses bro, I'm not stressing on anything ya. It's a mistake done so badly i am ashamed of it myself.

Regs,
Kenny.

Screen protector for laptop is to stick on the border of the screen ka?
I now only know, I tot is stick on da screen itself, because all other phone psp nds pmp all stick to the screen.
Means if the laptop screen is 14in, the screen protector must be larger than 14in, right?
If stick ar border, if angin tipu, the screen protector mai goyang goyang, right?

well, you just need to think logical I guess.

14" is too big to have the whole thing adhesive. Cause if whole thing is sticky, it will be very hard to stick properly. Cost a lot too. Handphone screen is small, so whole thing sticky is easier to handle and low cost.

Sticky on the side means all four sides will be sticky. If you stick it properly, once covers, the middle part will be air sealed. Wind blow will not make it shake.

Just to clarify the situation here. ngbh sells screen protectors for monitors and his screen protectors are adhesive type where they are to be sticked onto the borders of the screen. I guess a desktop wont be exposed to external environment therefore no goyang goyang. hehe.

But the case for my notebook screen protector, it is non adhesive and it can be fitted into the screen itself perfectly. Kinda same as you can see for the handphone screen protectors. Easy to apply and removed. Just make sure no dust gets in when applying. It gives a glossy effect for screens without truelite screen.

Thanks.

thats y the screen protector from ngbh is really crappy. I also tot the same, it is not mentioned in his thread at all and I really was duped big time. And I did mention my screen size and he din even take the initiative to explain to cut it and stick on border. But that's not the main point, the point is, there's no way to cut it to maintain the adhesive to stick on even my 14" let alone my 12". Complete waste of money.

Anyway, tauruskid, I do hope u maintain your promise of your responsibility. And I will be waiting for it. Once it arrive, i will put up a pic of it. Then we shall see whether its dented or not.

Added on April 15, 2009, 9:16 pmno reply from ngbh also, i think he's cracking his head to figure out how to cut it in to fit the borders of a 12". And its only on 2 side, the adhesive is not even on 4 sides. Really really crappy.

wats your screen size bro? Mine is a 12" only, and he sold me a 19" claiming that it can be cut into that size. And your adhesive is there for u to stick on both ends or all 4 ends of it?

Added on April 16, 2009, 9:57 pmWell, items was stashed into my letterbox after i came home from work. Its really really a bad idea to pack it such careless way and worse still to use normal post. The pictures are below. The package are originally torn already. Tauruskid, u are very lucky those guys at the post office actually wrap it up back for u. Look at the white notice on the bottom corner of the package. I put up a picture to let u see it. U want to know what it means? It means, the post office is trying to push the blame away from them. As you can see the pictures of the items, you are one lucky man that the package arive smoothly without any serious damage or dent. Otherwise, definitely u have to compensate me for it. For your future clients, not to disrupt your business as u keep your promise and duly delivered. But do wrap it better next time for the goodwill of your business here as well. At least, use bubble wrapper to protect it as it is such fragile items. Lastly, in your business here, never ever use normal post bro. For your own business sake, saving a few bucks but u need to compensate when something happen? That will not be enough to cover your cost, let alone your losses. Anyhow, at least the package arrive safe and sound and much better condition that I expected when I first saw the torn wrappings.

exactly. But the original 19" is meant to stick the adhesive on both sides on the left and right side or the monitor. Mine is a 12", there's no way I can cut it to have both adhesive on my left and rite, which means in the end it will be just like yours, which means i cut it to have the adhesive on the top. Which is totally not what was explained by seller la. when wind blows, it will still collect dust. what i want is a protector stick on the screen itself to 100% seal off dust.

Thank you jameslee_84, seems i'm kinda lucky the goods had arrived safely in ur hands and only external damages done to the wrappings itself and not the content. I will certainly certainly take into account of not repeating the mistake of sending by normal post. I thank the post office side for re-wrapping it for us and also to you. We'll take this as a lesson learnt. Let us know if the screen protector fits well.

Thanks again.
