Rules and Regulations
What is Doujin?
In Japan, Doujin usually refers to activities which people with same interest get together and create things like comics (Manga), novels, games, knitting stuffs and other goods. These people are not necessary professionals, art experts or established authors. Many of doujin products are created by armatures as a hobby and often published by their own expense.
Some of us, members here in AniManGaki 2009 are also Doujin artists and has made appearances in many local anime fests. Therefore, we understand the plight and needs of most Doujin artists. That is why; we are going to follow the anime event tradition of having Doujin booths as part of our highlight!
PRICE PER BOOTH FOR BOTH DAYS: RM 30.00 only
*Do take note that booth rentals are for two days only.
Registering
• Any individuals above the age of 13, regardless of nationality, are allowed to register.
• There are a total of 15 booths available on both days situated near the stage area.
• Since there are limited spaces available, registration will be done in first come first serve basis.
• We will only reserve the booth once payment is made to AniManGaki.
• After filling up the attached form provided by AniManGaki, forms must be sent via email to animangaki@gmail.com
• Closing Date: 7th June 2009 (Sunday)
Item Sales
• Reminder: Doujin booths are for non-commercial items. So, there will be no sales on videotapes, model kits, or original manga (comic book) at these booths.
• WARNING: Strictly no second-hand, violent, socially offensive, and adult materials such as Yaoi, Yuri, and Hentai. At most, you want to keep it just a brotherly hug.
Time
• Operation hours of Doujin Booth start as soon as the event begins at 10.00am on both days.
• Booth keepers may enter an hour earlier to set up their booths before the event begins.
Booth Space
• There will only be two chairs provided for each booth.
• Every booth comes with a free entrance for three (3) booth keepers only.
• All three booth keepers will be given a press tag each.
• Booth keepers must wear the tags at ALL times throughout their stay in the event.
• No bulky and heavy electronic devices such as computer or amplifiers are allowed.
Payment
• Instructions will be given once the forms are sent in to animangaki@gmail.com
• The Doujin booth will be reserved once confirmation is made with the receipt via email.
Cancellation
• Even if the SIGNATORY cancels the booking, refunds will not be made.
• If the event is canceled, all refunds will be done to respective booth keepers.
Other
• Please bring your identification card in order to retrieve the booth.
• Only the SIGNATORY is allowed to claim the booth.
• Please do not damage any property such as chairs, tables, or other facilities provided by
Sunway University College.
• All booth keepers are responsible of their own booth space.

How to Participate
• Register at the registration counter at 4th floor near the MPH during the event day. Fill out your personal details in the participants list provided.
• At the same time, the order of performance will be determined by random drawing prior to the competition.
• During the preliminary stage, when your name/group name is announced, please be on the stage immediately.
Preliminary Stage
• For Solo Division, each will be given maximum 3 poses on stage. The marks obtained will be determined by the following criteria :
o Costume = 40%
o Character portrayal = 40%
o Creativity/bonus = 20%
• For Group Division, each team will be given maximum 3 group poses. The marks obtained will be determined by the following criteria :
o Costume = 30%
o Overall Performances = 30%
o Characters portrayal = 20%
o Creativity & teamwork = 20%
• At the end of the preliminary competition, judges will select ten (10) performers in the SOLO Division and five (5) performers in the GROUP Division for the final stage.
Finale Stage
• Solo Division finalists will be required to do a maximum 3 minutes sketch on stage, either with or without help from fellow cosplayers, another 3 poses on stage and a Q&A session with the judges. The marks obtained from the judges will be determined by the following criteria : :
o Costume = 40%
o Character portrayal = 40%
o Creativity/bonus = 20%
• Group Division finalists will be given a maximum 5 minutes to perform a sketch, one (1) group pose, and a Q&A session with the judges. The marks obtained from the judges will be determined by the following criteria :
o Costume = 30%
o Overall Performances = 30%
o Characters portrayal = 20%
o Creativity & teamwork = 20%
• Musics or soundtracks of any genres, in Audio CD or pendrive, are recommended in order to improve the performance, are allowed. Note that all audio file must be in MP3 type file.
• The top 3 winners will be decided by 50% from the total marks obtained from the judges and another 50% will come from public voting via the entrance ticket.
Terms and Conditions
• The cosplay competition is open to everyone, regardless of nationality.
• Ensure that you've read and understand all the rules and regulations of the competition.
• Cosmetics, costumes or tools are to be prepared by the cosplayers themselves.
• Be sure that cosplayers must be about minimum 70-80% dressed.
• Self-made weapons or tools that are allowed are :
o Artificial/Toy guns without being loaded
o Anything that are made of :

Aluminum foils (with no sharp/protruding ends),
Polystyrene

o Real hand guns with live ammunition
o Any types of hard metal or metal foil(except aluminum foils)
o Blades or any sharp objects
o Glass
o Spray Paint cans and other aerosol related products
o Any chemically hazardous (Inflammable, radioactive, corrosive, reactive or volatile) objects
o Lighter, matches or anything that can cause fire
Any potentially dangerous or harmful properties, either listed or unlisted above brought along, will be handed to the committee for safekeeping until either the end of the event and/or the owner chooses to leave.
• Any wheeled vehicles (Bicycles, scooters, inline skaters, skateboards, etc) are strictly not allowed.

- There will only be a maximum of 3 people for the group category.
• Those that are registered will be announced on June 20, 2009 via our official website at http://www.suac.x-tenshi.com/ and will be notified again via e-mail address/SMS.
• On the event day, bring your I.C for verification for the competition.
• Payments for the competition fee (RM 2.00) will be made prior to the competition when registering attendance at relevant booths during the event.
• At the same time, the order of performance will be determined by random drawing prior to the competition.
• During the preliminary and final stage, when your name/group name is announced, please be on the stage immediately. Remember that you are to sing the song you have selected and there will be no sudden change.
• For Solo Division, the marks obtained will be determined by the following criteria:
o Vocal = 40%
o Overall Performances = 30%
o Creativity = 20%
o Selection of the song = 10%
• For Group Division, the marks obtained will be determined by the following criteria:
o Vocal = 40%

• Ensure that you've registered and the information that you have provided is clear and concise. Any incomplete information in the registration forms will results in rejection in the competition.
• Registration fee is RM2.00 per entry form.
• The registration is based on a first-come-first-served basis. We only allow maximum:
o 30 entries for SOLO division
o 10-15 entries for GROUP division
• Requirement of the songs :
o Preliminary Stage : One (1) song.
o Final Stage : Same song as preliminary stage OR another song.
o Types of songs :
