From the picture we can see that the XL-740K Left click button is design wider for long period comfortable usage while playing games. We also can see that the XL-740K is still following the tradition design such as the Triple click button, mouse scroll button and the DPI shift button. So, if you are the X7 Series fans, you will feel familiarity for these designs.

user posted image

The triple click is an advantage for those users who seek repeated shooting while in game such as CS or Unreal Tourment and etc. By using the triple click on the X7 gaming, the users can triple shooting their enemy in high accuracy without facing the gun jumping while shooting.

Previously, the DPI shift function only can be seen on high grade gaming mouse. But A4Tech with their R&D department bring those high end function into their gaming series to let more people can experience those high end function at affordable pricing. By using the DPI shift button, users can set their mouse DPI on the go even while in games without any driver or software required.

Beside those button, the A4Tech XL-740K is design ergonomically and according to Asian hand style which this giving the users long period comfortable usage compared to those European hand style design mouse. The left side of the mouse we can see that it is attach with the non-slip grip and the 2 quick buttons. The quick button can be used as the back and forward button in Internet Browser by default.

The XL-740K is using 3600DPI High Definition Laser Engine. This let the mouse competitive comparing with others brand name gaming mouse. With the DPI shift button, users can shift 6 DPI stage freely. If the users installed the OSCAR software which is provided together with the mouse, the users can set the DPI as low as 100DPI until the maximum 3600DPI according to the users preferable.

The OSCAR XL-740K foot is build using special material for long lasting and durability. The mouse also comes with the weight tuning ability where the users can set the mouse weight according to their preference and handling feel. With the full speed 1000Hz USB Report rate, the users can shorten the respond time.

The OSCAR software which is develops by A4Tech R&D department giving the users reprogramming and resetting the mouse freely without border. The users can set the setting for their mouse according to their preference and also programming the Macro for the games they preferred by downloading those setting into the mouse build-in 16K memory by using the OSCAR software. From here, we can conclude that the OSCAR XL-740K Laser Gaming can give the users high end performance but with lower and affordable price while the mouse function is competative compared to those high-end gaming mouse.

adding in coloured LEDs will certainly make this mouse more appealing..but the tri-click button is certainly a great feature.

dis mouse is designed for left-handed or right-handed users?

i would say for right hand from the design but i think left handed can also use it. although the design is a lil more curvy for right handed ppl, but still i think it wont affect those left handed.

btw, i think the red skin is nice but from the pic, it looks like the skin is easily peel off over time. but the red-reptile skin thingy is something you wont find in other mouse like SS, razer, logitech, or microsoft. i think its a great mouse with lots of feature thumbup.gif but what's the price like?

to be frank, actually a4tech isn't that bad, if you're looking for a good product as well as value for money, a4tech wouldn't be a bad choice!

A4 Tech, good brand and not consider "CHEAP" if you really compare to those other china clones. But quality are there with special features that other including Logitech, MS, even smaller nice brand like Razer, SS..don't have.

Overall, i could say is:

Logitech: A good product but price at higher end but limited choice on gaming (only G5 and G9). Like Audi..

Razer/SS : mainly target for young gamers; price position on high price(to indicate its quality, and image of "rare" and expensive due to niche taget market and much smaller selling volume like Ferrari)

A4 Tech: providing choices and range from A to Z.... easily have 40-50 or perhaps 100 models to choose from, for kids, laptop user, lady, office users, including gamers. SO far I never seen a input devices can offer so wide range of products !!!!

But from economy pont of view, there can product so may rage means there have the volume on scale, overall can have much stronger capability to come out with something with much lower cost but with stronger features than other brand. Example: TOYOTA, HONDA...

Just my opinion. But I support A4 Tech since their ball mouse time since 90s'

seriously i regretted after i bought mx518, the material used to make the mouses.. i dunno how to say, but if our hand oily abit, must clean it from time to time, need to wipe strongly to remove those oil some more.. doh.gif

i've been using a4tech since i get my first pc.. but then, their mouse broke due to "hardcore usage".... i keep whack my mouse on the table when i died in a game, when i get mad... gamers, u know the drill =x so i jumped ship to test mx518 because theres alot of positive comment.. but when i switched doh.gif *refer to first paragraph*

well, their mouses are cheap and has great feature.. even the lowest end also has 2x click feature.. which other brand doesnt have.. they're just a great company.. now im going to whack this mouse until it break.. and jump back to a4tech.. no no to razer and steelseries, too expensive smile.gif
