i faced the same problem when the 1st time creating the account. what i did was changing the email address for the activation email to my another email account. and somehow it worked.

maybank debit card should be visa not master card right? i can use it with itunes no problem.

i didn't realize that maybank has a new debit card with mastercard, previously they only have visa.

u might want to try linking the card again. other than that, i have no idea why its not working.

i normally use sharepod to transfer music and videos to the phone.
