Q: How to turn OFF EDGE?
A1: For non jailbreak iPhones, the easiest way to enable Celular Data Network Column is to use ipcc file @ http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/752226. If you cant see the ipcc file via iTunes, enabled Carrier Bundle Support in iTunes 8.2.

A2: For jailbroken iPhone users, you can download 'SBSettings' via Cydia to disable EDGE. You can also easily toggle On/Off for WiFi, SSH, 3G, etc. Take Note: *SBSettings has no icons. To launch SBSettings, slide your finger at the statusbar where your time/carrier is located. This will launch the program.

For Maxis Users: If all of the above suggestion fails, you need to insert a non maxis simcard and then set the APN with some gebberish words and then swap back your simcard. Your internet connection should fail to connect.

To disable EDGE, go to [Settings/General/Network/Cellular Data Network]. Place gibberish words to completely disable EDGE connection like below:
APN: iPhone
Username: iPhone
Password: iPhone

I'm currently out of state so there's no way of getting the files from my dad currently but that's beside the point if its only to get the apps. Right now my iTune won't open the iTune store properly. Is this normal? And from my phone it just says: 'iTune store is not available in your country.'

Each time I open iTune store from iTune, this appears:

Launch Internet Explorer
Click the Tools menu
Select Internet Options
Click the Connections tab
Click the LAN Settings button
Make sure that that "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox is unchecked
Click OK till you are out of everything, and then close Internet Explorer
Try again in iTunes to load the store
