installed an app today on my iphone 3gs 16gb 4.1 jbed maxi set and suddenly reboot and apple logo and connect to itunes kept on flashing
tried to update to 4.2 but ended up with error 1002
tried to update to 4.1 also error 1002
update itunes to 10.1.1 still the same problem
even tried to restore with another computer still having the same error 1002
googled for it and hardware failure kept popping up, is it true?
any inputs is greatly appreciated

update: manage to get to home screen after rejb but no wireless signal at all ( gsm and wifi)and a pop up "restore is needed"

what kind of application u installed ? do u install app from Cydia source ?

if u want to fully restore, try this. turn off the iphone, hold power button and home button at the same time until appear apple logo, then release it.

Did try to fully restore but after the progress bar in iPhone were complete and reboot , the connect to iTunes came up back again

Nope it kept on flashing apple logo and connect to iTunes , no idea what to do now , luckily warranty ended in 25 feb

can. i had no problem at all to send and received MMS before this.

do u use prepaid? turn ON the Cellular Data to sent and receive. MMS need an internet connection to sent the data.

I use postpaid one , so how to setting it ?

Settings > General > Network > turn ON cellular data. perhaps turn on with 3G

MMS only can send to Iphone only ? To other phone like Nokia , Sony cannot ??

before this, my friend using sony ericsson and sent a picture to me, i can received it with no problem

read in d news a china site is selling itunes account with credit card details on it for rm14 n apple is advising account users to check their account if theres any sudden increase in their credit card billing.. damnn..
luckily i registered mine without adding credit card details on it..

Currently Apple had stopped signing the iOS4.1 firmware, so if you do not have 4.1 SHSH blob saved, there's no hope going back 4.1.
If you had saved the SHSH blob, then go download the iOS4.1 firmware (search for it), then restore with the help of TinyUmbrella (a software).
